Dr. Ghanta chose to specialize in breast surgery after several of her friends and colleagues underwent breast cancer treatment. She is very passionate about health equity and providing cutting-edge treatments to all patients. Dr. Ghanta is committed to providing individualized care to each patient in order to promote long-term health and well-being. Dr. Ghanta treats all breast concerns, from benign to malignant. She also works with individuals at high risk of developing cancer due to family history or genetic mutations. She specializes in advanced breast surgery and oncoplastic techniques, including nipple-sparing mastectomies as well as the lymphatic microsurgical preventive healing approach, known as LYMPHA. This is an innovative surgical technique that helps prevent lymphedema, the buildup of lymph fluid that can occur after surgery. Dr. Ghanta’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented her work at national meetings. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American College of Surgeons.
