After completing an anesthesiology residency from Tirunelveli Medical College in India, Dr. Arumugam worked in the Department of Cardiology for the Sri Ramakrishna Hospital system in Tamil Nadu India. She then worked as a hospitalist for CHI St. Luke's Health - The Woodlands hospital before joining Kelsey-Seybold in November 2015. Dr. Arumugam is a member of the American Medical Association and the Academy of American Family Physicians Dr. Arumugam enjoys listening to music, watching movies, gardening and swimming.
