Hands down best patio downtown Toronto.

The wait for a seat is long but you can usually wait inside and they will come and get you when a patio seat is available.

My advice - always order 2 drinks. Staff is always busy and I find it takes a while for them to come around again.

Smart advice for the Black Bull patio - ordering drinks in pairs. But I have to tell you, it has nothing to do with them being busy, and everything to do with a lack of hustle. Wait staff are often seen standing around socializing when they should be out there hustling drinks. They're lucky I'm not the manager of that place - most of them would be out a job in a heartbeat. With the right staff sales on that patio can double, easily.

That said... this has to be one of my all-time fave patios, especially on a Friday afternoon. Get their early and there's prime patio real estate available. Food is ok. Nothing to write home about, but after a few ales it does the job.

Sounds like a gr8 place in the summer. Another restaurant to add 2 my favs! Wow, next time I'm in TO, I think all I'll be doing is eating! lol

I really wish I could like the Black Bull, but I can just never find a seat on their GIANT Patio. Always thought that was a little strange! hahahha

Now THAT is what I call a patio.

Get there early. Seating on the patio disappears quite early. On Fridays it's almost impossible to get a seat after 6.

Standard pub fare, nothing that stands out.

It's a great stop if you're doing a Queen Street patio crawl.

....is hard to do. Get there early or be forced to wonder how one of the largest streetside patios in the t-dot can not acommodate you and your crew.

I love this Patio too, but it is a shame that there are never any seats...but its totally wicked when you find that one...:)
