I recently moved to Brooklyn and wanted to find a fresh pet food store to supply food regularly for my dog. So after lots of research, I decided to venture to Just Food For Dogs, which is a 30 min walk for me. Today, after making the time in my schedule, and reviewing their operating hours, my pup and I made the trek only to arrive to this posted note that they took a lunch break and would return in 30 minutes—without including a start time for their break.

I’m down with a lunch break! But they don’t include this info anywhere that allows their customers to plan accordingly. And without posting what time their lunch break started, who knows when they might really return.
I will not give my money or entrust the care of my dog to a company that doesn’t have the basic human decency to respect their customers most valuable resource, their time. You wasted over an hour of mine today and I charge $55 for that.
Do better.

Freshly made and minimally processed in their kitchen in Manhattan. You purchase here frozen, then defrost to feed your pup. My dog loves it - like, obsessed. It’s expensive: somewhere in the range of $8 to $14 a day for a medium sized dog. Price varies by protein type.
