This led him to travel the Midwest, the Carolinas, Kansas, Kentucky and Tennessee. He also hit the competitive BBQ circuit, known as Dr. Deckle & Mr. Hide. After winning a few trophies and gaining recognition, it was time to open a real restaurant where everyone could enjoy the flavors.
