Matthew R. Kirk, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, glaucoma, and cataract surgery with Eye Care of San Diego - La Jolla. Dr. Kirk has been serving the community of La Jolla since 2007 and is focused on providing the best quality of care for each patient he works with.
Dr. Kirk’s training includes Boston University School of Medicine, where he was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society. He did his internship at the Naval Hospital, San Diego and served as a flight surgeon with the 3rd Marine Air Wing at Camp Pendleton and abroad. After his time in the military, Dr. Kirk went on to do his residency at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was selected as a chief resident. He joined us at Eye Care of La Jolla in 2007.
In his personal time, Dr. Kirk enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with his family.
