Hira Bakhtiar, MD

After graduating from residency in Texas, Dr. Bakhtiar came to Norwalk for a fellowship in pulmonary medicine. She then completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at Yale, before returning to Norwalk as a fellow in sleep medicine. Dr. Bakhtiar is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  Dr. Bakhtiar has expertise in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine and sees patients for the evaluation and management of a wide variety of pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders, as well as treating critically ill patients. Dr. Bakhtiar loves teaching physiology and ultrasound, and developing new curricula. She is proud to remain at Norwalk as a new faculty member working alongside those who trained her.
