Prepare to suffer if you eat here. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, the food quality and overall experience left me questioning hygiene and freshness.
I ordered a turkey club bagel with bacon — the turkey was soggy, and the meat didn’t seem fresh. Unfortunately, I felt very unwell the next day, which makes me believe the meat may have been spoiled.
Choosing to sit on the patio was also a mistake. The space was covered in ants, which made it uncomfortable to eat and completely ruined the Jamaican patties I had ordered to go — they were swarmed with ants before I could even take them home.
Overall, despite the good service, the food quality and lack of cleanliness made this a terrible experience. I would not return.

Average. Their everything bagel+ cream cheese is worse than Tim Hortons'. Their blueberry cheese bagel didn't have any cheese it, just a tasteless blueberry jelly.
And you never know where the line starts. They should take orders at the cash and people pay, then hand them their orders. Disorganized order system. People who work there are nice tho.

First time having a Montreal bagel(I’m from nyc so it will be a bit to get used to 😜) really good fresh from the oven everything 🥯
They make Montreal style, specifically St. Viateur style, bagels. They are more chewy and less fluffy. If thats what you want, this is the best option I've found in Toronto. They're my favourite style of bagel. If you want a soft, squishy bagel, you wont find it here! The cream cheese is also great. I can't comment on the other food, but remember that this is called "The Bagel House". You should be buying bagels and related products here.
Things you should know: this type of bagel will not stay fresh for multiple days. These should be eaten within two days for peak freshness. They should be kept in a plastic bag; that's why they're giving you the plastic bag at the store! After two days, you will absolutely need to toast them, as they will be hard. If you aren't going to eat them within two days, freeze them! Defrost one, slice it in half, and put it in the toaster for a bit when you want one, and it will be good.
Now you know, so don't give this place a bad review because your bagels get hard after two days :)

Average bagels!
Bagels are decent but considering how expensive this place is I would have to give this place 3 stars. Bagels didn’t feel oven fresh. Cream cheese over was very delicious which was the best part.
My cream cheese bagel could have been prepared nicer especially because it wasn’t busy!
Services and atmosphere is not bad either!

Always get the best bagels here, and pick up some cream cheese too!
$35.55 for three tuna bagels. Just bleeping ridiculous. They think they're make more money with such high prices but I'll never make that mistake again. So much for being smart.
It's a lovely little bagel shop with some of the best Montreal bagels In my opinion.I would recommend going here to anybody who is in the neighbourhood. It has a lovely friendly atmosphere and staff.
They are NOT open 24 hours as stated in the store and on their website. They close at 5 daily. Went there Saturday night to pick up some bagels as I thought that they were open and they were not. That is the only reason for the 3 star review otherwise the bagels are fresh and delicious and 10/10. (Bayview location)
Picked up 3 bagels - 2 types.
Neither was That fresh - Neither was that tasty.
Bagels were quite Small and Not Cheap.
Noticed they charge over $1.00 to BUTTER your bagel and Cream Cheese is around $4 - what ????
Definitely NEVER again - and the prices are Whack.
Servers also semi-surly.

I got samosa from this business and they gave me frozen one, I got that for my lunch and I was far away from the location, but I couldn’t have my lunch because they gave me frozen food, I called them and told them that you give me frozen food. They said we cannot do anything about it we forgot that it’s frozen. They don’t care about customer they customers and they don’t give good services and they don’t care if they make a mistake they’re not sorry for waisting your money. don’t appreciate and don’t support the businesses that they don’t care about the customer. I usually put good reviews for everybody that deserve it but this time I need to talk about something that is not nice to do with people. We need to appreciate peoples time money when they wanna buy something and give them good food. If we do mistake we need to take care of our mistakes not to say we can’t do anything and Sorry.
There are positive and negative points that I would like to talk about. Firstly, the line was extremely long during lunchtime when I visited the store, but there was only one staff taking orders, making orders and cashing out, so disappointed. The bagel and filling tasted flavorful but a little bit sweet to my preference.
The very old man working there at the front counter gives us shivers ! So disgusting personal hygiene and bad manners when cutting bagels and preparing sandwiches that we wonder if the owner has changed. The other location on Avenue Road a pleasant girl is very graceful---but who wants to drive there when you work next door
We go here occasionally to pick up a dozen bagels and a tub of cream cheese. These are always very good, and so they were this time. A couple of days ago I added four poppyseed hamantaschen to the order. These were less impressive: too much dough was used relative to the size of the filling. Still, in an era of takeout the Bagel House is more than worth patronizing.
The bagels are good...really good! The staff, not so much. If you’re not in a rush and care about the way you’re served, go to any of their other locales. Either way, you’re going to get a good bagel!
