Originally from Parkersburg, West Virginia, she graduated from Marshall University in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a concentration in Healthcare. She then began her career in customer service at Apria Healthcare in Columbus, Ohio, before moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2002. Katy became a licensed insurance professional with Wellcare of GA in 2006, was a number one producing representative in the territory starting in 2007 and number three in the country at Wellcare in 2011. In 2015, Katy became an independent agent selling Medicare Advantage plans. She has consistently achieved top representative ranking with Humana since 2019 and top producer with Lourie Life & Health since 2016.
