Piano Piano offers such a charming ambience – warm, lively, and perfect for a night out. 🍷 I started with the Piano Spirit and Refreshing My Memories cocktails, both beautifully crafted and refreshing. The Spagatony Tre Colore was rich and perfectly balanced, while the Spaniard pizza had bold flavors that stood out. To finish, the cream puff was light, airy, and the sweetest ending to a wonderful meal. A truly memorable dining experience!
Been here many times. I love their bar tender Phil he always has great energy! There's a vibe to this place and reservations are recommended. The lounge seating by the bar area is the best spot to be. Im terms of menu items: I recommend the FunGuy pizza and the ravioli Bolognese is on point and quite filling! The ribeye though needs improvement - its one of the most expensive items on the menu and I've ordered it twice and both times at medium temperature it came out dry and chewy so probably not the best meat. I also find the host/hostess needs to work on being a lot more welcoming and warm toward guests. Ive observed a chip on their shoulder one too many times and its not appreciated. The servers and bartenders though are amazing people. Also the patio is very basic and needs Investment in better furniture and planters to create a vibe outdoor as well. Piano Piano is a good addition to the Oakville downtown area for casual dining.
We did a full restaurant buyout for our wedding dinner and reception. Some details about our event specifically; our wedding was on a Friday and we had 56 guests total (but the restaurant can accommodate up to 90 I think?). We always loved the food here and thought what better place to host our wedding celebration than at a restaurant we really enjoy (wedding life hack btw)! Our events coordinator was Victoria, and she was such a pleasure to deal with. Responsive, accommodating, compassionate and beyond all else transparent! We tried to rework the floorplan what feels like 10 times, Victoria and her team were more than patient with us throughout the planning process. Among all the different meal options available, we did the family style menu, and it was PERFECT! We were so concerned about food waste, but the staff packaged all the leftovers from the shared plates (and even put our custom wedding sticker on top) for guests to take home at the end of the night, there were at least 30 takeout boxes ready for guests to take home. If you're considering this option, just know there will be PLENTY of food. The portions were extremely generous! Beyond the food, they even allowed us to bring in a full blow DJ and Audio Visual set up! My husband and I are big ravers, and Piano Piano was more than accommodating with our requests to turn the restaurant into what felt like a nightclub. Lasers, massive speakers, fog machine etc. The staff working at the event were amazing, top notch customer service all around. The bartenders were such a vibe, the managers present were super accommodating and ensured everything went perfectly! If you're looking for a venue space to host a big event, let this be your sign to book this restaurant!
We went there for Saturday lunch. The lunch special was a great price. You can choose an appetizer, a main dish, and a dessert. We had a lunch special and one pizza. The food was good, the atmosphere was great, and the server was super awesome!
You don’t need to make a reservation for Saturday lunch. There were lots of empty tables during afternoon.

The only piano piano you should go to! My go to order include the veal, brussel sprouts, and meatball rigatoni. This visit we also tried the whipped ricotta and seafood misto which were delicious! If youre going with a big group definitely recommend the carrot cake to share, its alot of cake.
Piano Piano is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The ambiance is stylish and upbeat, with colorful decor and a lively atmosphere that makes it perfect for both date nights and group dinners. The service was attentive and friendly, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
We went to Piano Piano for lunch to celebrate our anniversary and it was wonderful. It was surprisingly quiet, which we didn’t mind. Dino was our server and he was really great! They gave us a complimentary glass of Prosecco each at the start which was a really nice surprise. The lunch was delicious from start to finish. The bread they served with the burrata was so good, and the salad was super tasty too. The ravioli while only three pieces, were large in size and very flavourful. The pizza had an airy crust and wasn’t greasy. Dessert and drinks were good too, and we would certainly come back again and would recommend to anyone whos wanted to try it!
This busy restaurant has a large and varied menu, ranging from Pasta, Pizza and even main courses like roasted 1/2 Chicken.
I ordered the Fritto Misto as an appetizer and the Lobster Cassarecce as my main.
The Fritto Misto was basically Calamari, Sea Bass, Shrimp, Artichoke and Zucchini, all deep fried and came with a Parsley, Chili, Garlic and Aioli Dip. This was an interesting dish and was fairly tasty.
The Pasta dish I ordered, the Lobster Cassarecce, was disappointing. The Pasta was cooked right and there were a decent amount of Lobster pieces inside, but the dish lacked flavour. It was extremely bland. There was no real distinct taste. I didn’t enjoy this dish.
Service and atmosphere was good and prices were reasonable.

Such a beautiful spot—loved, loved the atmosphere!
Piano Piano is truly a vibe. The setting is warm, stylish, and perfect for a night out. While the pizza wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, the pasta, dessert, and everything else were absolutely perfect.
Huge thanks to Sarah for the amazing service—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.
I’ll definitely be coming back!

Decent food but I’m not sure if it’s worth the price. We ordered the caviar on a savoury donut to start, which was average. For a $15 bite of food, it wasn’t flavorful enough and is just your average donut. The ravioli was pretty tasty and ricotta cheese inside of it was quite creamy. I’m not a huge fan of how big they were (only 3 raviolis) but that’s a personal preference. The canestri was delicious and spicy, the nduja in it was very good. Overall, the service was stellar though and the restaurant itself is quite aesthetic.
I've heard so much about the food at this restaurant, was hoping it would live up to the hype. I can confirm that it definitely was well worth the trip. A great italian spot to go to for dining either casually or fine dining, your choice.
The decor was interestingly both modern and classy. Hard to put my finger on what the theme is but it tied in well together. Arriving at closing hour we were almost turned about but luckily we made a reservation so we were able to get seated.
We tried the sunday supper. For a great deal of $40 pp we were able to try 5 courses. From appetizers to the main courses to dessert, everything was exceptional. We got a bit of salad and mozzerella sticks, with chicken parmasan and pasta, topping it off with some tiramisu dessert. One of the better italian places in town easily.
The service was great. They were all very attentive and kind enough to let us change to a booth when we wanted a bigger table.
The restaurant was very quiet since we arrived at the last hour but something charming about the peace and quiet. We definitely want to go back when its more lively to feel the difference.

The portions were tiny and the quality of the food was meh. Also, I asked for salt and the intelligent waiter brought rock salt that was unusable. Once but never again.
Bought Piano Piano Frozen Pizzas (Pepperoni + Mushroom And Onion...from Loblaws...
The Mushroom Pizza uses artificial ingredients (Mono and DiGlycerides which is edible plastic product in there white sauce and cheese) + Carbomethyl??? Polysorbate 80??? WHY WHY WHY I willl never again buy or go to Piano Piano based on their using FAKE INGREDIENTS! Not needed - SHAME ON YOU!!

I try and be honest in all my reviews. I thought about a ‘1’ rating here, but maybe that would look bitter or false….as it is I have never given or even contemplated a ‘2’. I recently visited the newly opened Piano Piano at 1190 Dundas Street East, Toronto. I started off a bit prejudiced when we turned up with a res and there was no table ready. Having got a table we were not offered drinks until one of the four of us asked a server. Not only were the other diners not offered a drink, the drink was delivered and still three out of four had not been offered anything. Having asked another server we duly got drinks and ordered. We shared a starter of burrata which was quite good (probably why I gave the experience a ‘2’). The others said their mains were ok-sorry I can’t agree. I ordered rigatoni carbonara. I feel uncomfortable sometimes at the size of portions in general in North America-no problems here, it would have been a child’s meal even in the UK! Two servers bought the dishes to the table, all held with napkins to avoid getting burnt. Or not as the case may be? My plate was cold and the food luke warm. I like food and I enjoy eating out but I am no food critic, however, I can quite happily say this was the worst value plate of food I have been served for a long time. I have always thought carbonara was a soul warming, unctuous sauce served piping hot on fresh pasta-this dish was miles away. I did ask for some black pepper-there was none on the table-and this never arrived. My girlfriend ordered a glass of wine and was told there was only house red when there seemed to be others-as we found out later. We shared a dessert as by this time I was impatient to get out-I was paying the whole bill! I suppose the last nail in the coffin was using the restroom on the way out there was a line up of four people…so I went to the pub!
To me it was clearly obvious that this place was newly opened. The staff were not familiar with each other or the procedures of the restaurant-I honestly believe that our server, although very nice had never worked in a restaurant before-if she had not, it’s not her fault. At one stage there were eight servers in view, when nobody was offering us a drink-because nobody had ‘taken ownership’ of our table. I thought about this review in the restaurant, but what I really wanted to do was have a quiet word with the person in charge and explain my observations……..and that was the biggest problem of all….there was nobody (recognisably) in charge…….so the restaurant gets this review instead.

The burrata and egg ravioli were absolutely delicious! The pizza was decent—nothing extraordinary, but a solid choice. Cocktails were well-made and enjoyable. The biggest downside was the wait time—our main course took nearly an hour to arrive, despite the restaurant being fairly empty (around 15 customers). Our waitress was friendly and pleasant, but the slow service was frustrating, especially since we were hungry. Overall, a nice spot to try if you have time to spare—just bring good company to keep you entertained while you wait!
I usually don’t go out for these Valentines dedicated menus but the food was delicious! We had the set menu but with options to choose. The starters were good and the shared truffle pasta was great!! Mains were also very good! And we finished off with the cheesecake and Nutella tiramisu. The service was good however we did order a bottle of water that never came! Overall it was an enjoyable experience
Piano Piano has such a cute and cozy vibe. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We loved the food, desserts, and cocktails. That being said, the service was really slow. We ordered appetizers like calamari and warm olives, and they came out fast, but our mains took about 50 minutes, which felt way too long.On top of that, different servers kept checking on us, but they didn’t seem to communicate with each other. We had to keep telling them that we had already ordered and were just waiting for our food. The food and atmosphere were great, but I wouldn’t recommend going on a busy night. Other than that, the staff was lovely, and everything we ate was delicious!
We made reservations and enjoyed both the lunch special ($36) and the Winterlicious menu ($34). Our meal included a ½ order of calamari (lunch menu special), burrata, egg yolk ravioli, Fun Guy pizza, soft serve ice cream, and lemon cheesecake—all for just $70! Every dish was well-prepared and enjoyable. The lemon cheesecake portion was particularly generous, which was a nice surprise at the end of a full meal.
As another reviewer mentioned, the pizza was a bit tricky to pick up, but it was still delicious. Service was mostly great—our server and hostess were lovely. However, one of the food runners seemed confused and attempted to serve us a main course while our untouched appetizers were still in front of us. It actually belonged to the table beside us, and it took corrections from our server, ourselves, and the other table before the mix-up was resolved.
Despite that small hiccup, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return!

Came here with a big group and PianoPiano made our whole experience 10/10. The staff made family style recommendations and everything was delicious. We got to try so many amazing dishes. They took extra consideration for our guests with dietary restrictions or allergies. They also accommodated us short notice which was much appreciated. Looking forward to my next visit.
Tried to book a reservation at this place for my wife's Birthday. They want $20 non-refundable towards food just to book the reservation - NOT HAPPENING!!!
The food, drinks and service were excellent. This was our first time here and will definitely return. The only strange thing is that we were there for an early dinner. The restaurant was essentially empty when we arrived. A short time later, when the second set of guests arrived, they were seated directly next to us. We all thought that to be a bit odd.
The place has a very intimate and beautiful atmosphere. We were shortly seated and brought our selection in a fast and efficient amount of time. I was a bit floored when I found out they charge eight dollars for water because it is usually free in other establishments. The pasta we ordered was absolutely astounding. The shrimp cocktail we got as an appetizer was delicious, even down to the sauce and coleslaw underneath it. I believe it was a bit overpriced to give just four shrimp for the price it was. Altogether it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly, and the food came in a timely matter. We got one appetizer and two entrées and a drink each and the total came to about $124 before tip. Definitely will be coming back.
I recently dined at Piano Piano on Harbord Street and, overall, had a much better experience compared to their Mount Pleasant Road location. The food was excellent—the pizzas, as always, were a highlight, consistently delicious and satisfying. The pasta dishes were tasty and well-prepared, but unfortunately, the portions were quite small, leaving us wanting a bit more.
The atmosphere, decor and interior design was whimsical and fun!
While the food impressed, the service fell a bit short. Our waitress seemed somewhat distant and perhaps even a little sad, and we also noticed she was a bit forgetful at times. However, we tried not to let this affect our overall experience. A more approachable and attentive demeanor would have gone a long way in creating a more welcoming atmosphere.
That being said, Piano Piano’s Harbord location delivers high-quality Italian food, and the pizzas alone make it worth the visit. With slightly larger pasta portions and improved service, this spot could easily become exceptional.
