I would give this jewerly store a 0 for what happened with my ring...I went in to get my wedding band cleaned and inspected as per my warranty and sent my engagement ring along with it to the jeweller to have it cleaned and the claws fixed as they were catching. The store called me to come pick up my rings and handed me my engagement ring and I immediately told them that it wasn't mine. The manager stated yes it is and I looked at it again and even tried it on and said no it isn't as mine had a nick in it and it didn't even fit my finger. She then looked at my paperwork and realized that in fact it wasn't my ring. She then tried to find it and could not and I left without my ring as she had to call the jeweller and figure out what happened to it.
As this was on a Saturday, I had to wait till Monday for a call back. When I finally received a call, they advised me that they think they found my ring with another customer who was in earlier that day and took it home thinking it was their ring as they both were very similar. She said she would call me that evening as the lady was dropping off the ring to pick up her ring. That evening I received the call and the manager advised me that she had my ring but yet again another hiccup. It had been resized from a 7 (the original ring size) to a 5 as the ring was mixed up with the instructions that I had sent along with the ring and had gotten resized by mistake. The manager all along has been saying that the rings look so much alike that the jeweller unfortunately didn't realize that it was the wrong ring. Isn't that why they have procedures in place for this not to happen!! I of course am not very impressed but am nice to the manager and she said I would have my ring resized back to the original size and back to me very quickly. All this time they keep telling me that the rings look so much alike and that is why this happened. Really, I don't care if they do...they are to take care of these special rings and they didn't and now my ring has not been resized once but twice. How does this affect my ring now?
In any event I am very upset and think that this should never have happened even if they do look similiar.. that is no excuse whatsoever. I am sure alot of the rings look alike~!! I am going to pick up my ring tonight and it better be fixed properly or I am going to flip!!
I would be hardpressed to go back to this store or any other Charm store as they use the same jeweller but unfortunately I have an extended warranty that has been purchased!! I am not sure what I am going to do quite yet and will make my decision after I get my ring back and talk to the manager about my whole experience!!
