Absolutely revolting service.

Just search either Vanayan or Montebello in BCs Civil Court records and you'll find dozens of lawsuits against them. The owner of Montebello, Annie Vanayan is a total crook.

Before I knew about that I paid her to make a custom ring: she substituted smaller diamonds in my ring than we agreed and she used 10k gold instead of the 18k we agreed to (she falsely stamped the ring as 18k).

Aside from that the ring was really poorly made. It didn't look like it was supposed to, stones were loose, solder lines were visible, and the diamonds she used were M grade (very bad).

She provided fake documentation to saying the ring was evaluated at over $5000.00. When I had it independently checked they valued it at about $2200.00

She lied and dragged her feet for months to avoid refunding me. I had to sue her to get my money back.

Took both weeding rings into this store..early April 2019. My husband passed away a few yrs ago so these rings were and always will be special in my heart. They made me a pendant with an Alexanderight stone I was so surprised to see how this was made I shed tears.

Annie who owns this store was wonderful and understanding about it all and how special this meant to me. We both have a lot in common.

Prices are reasonable and now I have something very special Tks to Montebell Jewellers!!

I took a ring in to get it resized and they did it in just a few hours for me because I was in a hurry. The price was reasonable and they did a fabulous job. This is only the second time I have used Montebello Jewelers. The first time was years ago when I took my wedding ring in to have it cut in half and made into some very beautiful earrings. I will definitely use this Jeweler again for any future needs. Not only do they do a great job, it is just a really fun place to stop into. Great people!

Many repairs, sizings and purchases over the last 6 years, custom designs were top notch craftmanship with no problems. Always courteous and friendly to me, willing to answer any of my questions.

Very happy every time I have gone there for sizngs or appraisals or repairs.

from this store.They definetly switched the main solitare
stone.The people that work there were no help at all when we questioned them.

This should be NO STARS! Worst place of business for jewelry ever! On the better business bureau website it says on a scale from A+ - F they are rated an F!!! Why you may ask? Switching out diamonds, I had a 18 karat engagement ring and got it sized there.....guess what they used SIILVER not gold to do the sizing! They have changed the price on appraisals after the Gemologist has signed the documents! Not to mention they were KICKED OUT of the Guildford Mall!! In Willowbrook mall they are at the back corner because they suck... He has to take stuff from his brothers store because the bailiff took the little stock they had. (this happens when you owe money) The people are very shady looking, not pleasant to customers, seems like a "front" for criminal activities! Why do they have so very little stock?!? Don't bother going into this store. The workmanship is nasty, very poorly done and when you go back to complain they tell you they just fired the goldsmith that worked on your ring...they said this to 2 other people I know. My gf bought a ring from there and it was stamped 14k but when she took it somewhere else to size they told her it was 10k.. when everyone one looked under 10 power magnification you could see it was a 10k mark that had been stamped over with a 14k !! How many goldsmiths can you fit in your makeshift back room? Why lie??? The owner is the one doing the work because he is the ONLY goldsmith... and is he really a goldsmith or a self proclaimed one???? Stay far far away.

We tried Montebello for a custom designed engagement ring and wedding ring set and I would recommend... TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM! The quality of the gold and craftsmanship was horrible. The diamonds were lose in the settings, and the gold had all black specks in it.

I have been shopping for jewellery at this store for a few years now.
I am very pleased (and so are many friends)!!!
It is highly efficient, very friendly and great prices!
I wouldn't shop anywhere else for my jewellery!
