JABS (Just Another Burger Spot)

Love jabs. I’ve had the regular burger and their specialty take on the Big Mac. I’ve also tried their fries and banana pudding. The smash burgers are really good, although slightly on the greasy side, not that this has stopped me from going back lol. Have more of a thinner fry, which is nice, but recognizing not everyone is partial to a thinner fry. Banana pudding was delicious. Will add more photos my next time around.

This may be toted as just another burger place spot but it is far from your average joint.

I had lunch here recently and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The service was friendly and patient as I was greeted upon entry and took my time perusing the menu. The restaurant was very clean and organized, not a lot of stuff on the walls and the bathrooms were in top shape which I appreciated.

I ordered the classic double burger, with a side a fries and a cane cola. The burger was delicious! Toppings were fresh and tasty, and it made a mess with the sauces and condiments which is a sign of a great burger. It wasn't overly huge, a good size for my hands and they did get messy as I devoured this scrumptious burger. The Cane Cola was a nice accompaniment to try for the first time but not necessary to enjoy the burger.

The fries were golden and crispy and quite a large portion for the price. I just wished the fry lengths were a bit longer as I received a lot of tiny pieces instead of longer potatoes which meant I was scooping them up in my hand to eat them. Not a dealbreaker just an annoyance.

The wait for the food wasn't very long, about 5-8 minutes and they brought the order to the table. I really enjoyed the burger and fries making this NOT just another burger spot but MTTBS = Must try this burger spot!

Hands down a great burger and you won’t be disappointed for the flavour and preparation. The cheese fries were good and plenty of cheese. I’m sure they are just as good without the cheese. The burger was delicious and the chicken sandwitch was great. The only issue I had was the bottom bun got soggy so created a bit of a mess while eating but I think I’m asking for a bit extra toast for next visit. Highly recommended enjoy and thank me later.

Was told these were great burgers only to eat an over salted patty and stale looking thin fries. Cheese fries is plain fries with chieese whiz on the side not mention $8.50 for tasteless fries. I was not impressed and very dissatisfied considering I spent over 50 dollars for 2 burgers and fries, which were honestly mediocre and which I could've made better myself.I ordered through door dash and it arrived cold and while I addressed these concerns, door dash did nothing about it. Won't buy from here again. So disappointing 😞

Finally got to try Jabs Burger, and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent, friendly and quick. The burgers were absolutely amazing, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I’ve always wanted to check this place out, and I’m glad I did.

Bonus points for the strawberry tiramisu, surprisingly great twist on a classic dessert!

Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

WOW!! Amazing Smash burgers. Simply Delicious. Heard about JABS through a colleague & thankful as they were fantastic.

Fries were excellent too as were the chicken bites. Try their banana pudding for dessert- sweet delight & great finish to meal 💯

Definitely a top 3, if not top burger in Toronto.

Had the Oklahoma Double Patty. Meat is juicy, sauce is delicious and potato bun is soft.

Fries are perfect.

Also had the limited edition Korean fried chicken sandwich which was also good.

Banana pudding to end was one of the best I’ve had. Not overly sweet or banana-ey. The cookies inside were perfect.

Overall must visit if you’re looking for a good smashburger.

We found Jabs through a reel on FB #waveroombites. I ordered the Oklahoma and my wife ordered the cheese burger with the onion jam. We also ordered the cheese fries. We both enjoyed our burgers and our cheese fries and finished off with their Banana Pudding which tasted great.

This place was busy when we got here at 8:30PM on a Saturday night all the way to closing at 9PM.

Jabs is very clean despite being so busy. We will be back again to try other items on their menu.

This place is Filipino owned and a great place to curb your munchies and offers a small beer menu.

Truly just another burger spot. The double cheeseburger was overall pretty good but the onion jam was too sweet for my liking. The pickles were also very thing and all stacked atop each other right in the middle of the bun so I had to reassemble a little bit. The banana pudding was not great, however, as not only were there not many bananas (that were also overly-ripened) but the vanilla wafers were too soggy and the vanilla pudding overpowered any flavour from the bananas. Oh, it's also $9 for pudding that isn't much larger, if at all larger, than the $6 ones at Rosie's and Happy Burger; $25 for a double cheeseburger and a pudding is just nuts, especially since neither were particularly special.

I think I may have just had an off day there. The burger was great and their cheese fries were a nice surprise, because the cheese was not overwhelming, but coated the fries perfectly. That said, I did find some fries that were undercooked (see photo), and my stomach was a bit upset afterwards. The burger was pretty greasy too. But like I said, maybe it was just an off day. They seem to be doing things right and the staff were friendly.

Pretty flawless burger. What is surprising is you can basically get a very solid representation of 3 style , Smash, thick and chicken and they were all very very good. The cook temperature of the truffle burger was spot on i recommend you get it on the sesame bun. The smash burger was a well executed classic. The chicken was also excellent one of the best chicken burgers in the city. Fries were also fantastic. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I wish their store hours were longer and they were open till at least 10pm. For the moment this place wins the best burger in the city for me and I have tried basically most places.

I was a bit unsure when I took my first bite into a Jabs double classic - it had a real crunch to it with the caramelized outside, but by the second bite, I was hooked. You have to give this place a try and I kinda like their understated approach. Like other top end burger spots, the food is carefully prepared which can mean a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. I didn't eat in this time, but there is plenty of room at the back with tables, although the atmosphere isn't super enticing. Will definitely be back.
