Melanie Jackson, MD, is a transplant to South Carolina from Syracuse, New York, where she completed her Internal Medicine residency training after finishing medical school at American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Jackson worked as a hospitalist for 3.5 years before making the transition to outpatient medicine – she enjoys using that experience to keep her current patients out of the hospital as much as possible. She is very much oriented to maintaining an excellent quality of life for her patients by trying to minimize the impact that chronic medical conditions have on their everyday lives. When not at work, Dr. Jackson enjoys baking, reading celebrity autobiographies and cuddling with her pups!
