This is easily the best burger in the city. Far better than Rosie's, burger drops, etc... The meat here is noticeably higher quality, and the fact that you can order medium rare (since they grind their meat in house) automatically puts it above almost any other burger spot in the city.
If you prefer dried out paper thin smash burgers, you'll probably prefer other places. For me holy chuck is smashed to the exact right level.

I go here for two things, really great sloppy burgers and amazing milkshakes.
The burgers, this is the classic sloppy burger. They are juicy, the meat tastes fresh and if you order one of their house special burgers you will not be disappointed. I’ve had their signature burger the Big Chuck, The Smokey Cow and Raging Bull. All three are just perfect examples of what the classic juicy, sloppy burger should be. There’s no way to be dainty or elegant eating one of these burgers and that’s exactly how a good burger should be.
In regards to the milkshakes, they are without question the best milkshakes I’ve had in Toronto And I’ve tried a lot. You can taste not just that they’re 100% ice cream, but that they’re using quality ice cream. Their flavours are amazing, the strawberry milkshake actually tastes like strawberries and some of their Nutella milkshakes are just out of this world. I’ve heard they make good fried chicken here, but the burgers are so good I’ve never tried it.
In general the place is clean, service is polite and efficient and the dining room is small but never too crowded to find a spot. Also I really appreciate that their point of sale machine doesn’t ask for a tip. In this day and age where you sometimes get asked to tip at the convenience store, just getting a prompt to tap and pay feels like a welcome change.

The best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. We shared a dipped chicken sandwich and a holy chuck with fries and HOLY CHUCK is it ever delicious! Juicy beef, crispy juicy chicken, and super saucy. Fries are seasoned and very good but not out of the ordinary. Overall a must stop for anyone in Toronto!
Nice place. Good burger. The burger was small for the price. Bun was basic.
I used to be a big fan of holy chucks when I was a student and worked at Yonge & St Clair but now a days it just isn’t the same.
Honestly just your average Toronto burger.
The poutine should be skipped it’s pricey and underwhelming.

Absolute garbage. Totally tasteless, no spice, no flavor, nothing. Took one bite and tossed the burger in the trash. Wasted my money.
Honestly, for the price I wasn’t impressed. A double cheeseburger alone will cost you $20+, and a side of fries brings the total closer to $30. In my opinion, there are just much better burgers in this city priced around $8-$15. Rosie’s Burgers & Happy Burger come to mind.
This burger joint’s name sounds a bit like Shake Shack, but when it comes to taste, Holy Chuck definitely has the edge. Their burgers are richer, with a more robust flavor and a fattier profile. That said, they don’t come cheap—especially the Holy Duck burger. The space is also on the smaller side, and the overall atmosphere feels a bit weaker compared to Shake Shack’s lively vibe.
The reason I am giving it three stars is for the price point. $20+ for a burger and a side of onion rings is pricey and frankly I do not think it is worth it.
That being said, their burgers are pretty good, not amazing but a solid burger. Good ingredients cooked well. The bun was a bit soggy with the toppings but that is the only real complaint. The highlight of the meal was the milkshake, best I have had in a long time. If I come back it’ll be just to grab a milkshake.
The restaurant itself was relatively clean, the staff were kind, and service was quick.

The food was decent, but the fries and onion rings were absolutely very salty. The burger itself was very, very delicious. The staffwere
kind and the service was pretty fast.

They offer a variety of specialty burgers, including lamb, crispy chicken, and beef. Though the burgers are small, they’re packed with incredible flavor. And their waffle fries? Absolutely unforgettable
Better order well-done if you don't like it rare. I ordered medium well, and there was red juice dripping onto my tray when i bit i the burger. Great burgers but pricey. Wish there was a wider variety of toppings, dijon mustsrd for example. Also wish they'd grab some outdoor patio space.
Loved the staff, burger was overpriced and bun was kind of soggy. They use American cheese not the real stuff. Basic selection for beverages. I paid about 20$ for the signature holy Chuck and the maple flavor of the bacon was overwhelming. The onions were soggy. Would have been better off getting a triple cheeseburger at McDonalds and saving 15$ maybe but I'm glad I tried it for once.
We recently celebrated a special occasion with my partner at Holy Chuk Burger, and it turned out to be an incredible experience!
The burgers were juicy, flavourful. The French fries were fantastic too. The pictures on the wall depicting people's happiness while eating burgers added to the enjoyable atmosphere!

Amazing burgers!! From the first bite you can tell the freshness of the meat. The meat is very tender and juicy. I tried The Raging Bull and The Grind N' Shine burgers along with Poutine and Real Strawberry Shakes. Usually after I finish my burger I tend to find it heavy. But I didn't find these burgers heavy at all instead I found them to be very light. Staff is friendly and service is good. The shakes go well with the burger and is popular choice among customers. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had in town. Must try!!
