Babe Ruth may have been the “sultan of swat” but I can tell you from our recent moving experience that Andy Sultan is literally and figuratively the “sultan of moving”. The whole experience with John Gray Moving was fantastic from start to finish. They were extremely helpful with our move from Florida to the Laurentians, navigating Customs ain’t for the faint of🩵💜💙❤️but John Gray made the entire process seamless and almost easy! But the star of the show was clearly Andy, from packing us up in Florida on the actual day he said he’d be there, to loading the truck, never mind driving it, it’s a 72-footer, to delivering our goods to our home in the Laurentians, Andy was the captain of the ship, with great help from his crew I might add, but it was Andy who supervised the packing, organized the load in the moving van, and delivered it to us as if he’d done it a thousand times before, which he probably had! All in all our experience with John Gray Moving and Andy Sultan, God bless him, was as good as it could possibly get.

I had total of 30 boxes and none of my belongings were damaged. Some boxes got a bit crushed and some had a hole in it, however, it did not impact my goods. I believe that because I abused of bubble wrap and didn't leave any space in the boxes, I properly packed my things and was able to avoid any damage. Brandan from John Gray was very helpful since day one by providing me an estimate and answering my questions. It was my first time dealing with a moving from Montreal all the way to the West Coast, so a little stressful, but in the end, everything went well. The two movers at destination were very friendly, patient and had positive attitudes. I did not have any furniture and this company offered me their services that was suited my budget. Overall very satisfied with John Gray :)

We are two retirees with health issues. The team at John Gray Moving were amazing! We were unable to provide much in the way of preparing for the move so the guys had some extra things to do. I had an exceptional experience thanks to Andy! I was moving from Toronto to Halifax, and Andy went above and beyond to make the process smooth. Knowing that a storm was approaching on my moving day, he took the initiative to arrive a day early for preliminary tagging, saving me valuable time and allowing me to get on the road early enough to avoid the bad weather.

Andy was professional, polite, and courteous throughout the entire process. He arrived within 15 minutes of the communicated time at both locations—no small feat given the long distances involved. In Halifax, he even arrived ahead of schedule!

He used protective liners to ensure nothing was damaged, and I was particularly impressed with how carefully he handled my high-value items, including an 85-inch TV and a 57-inch monitor. I dealt with John Gray to deal with receiving and customs for a shipment of personal belongings. Sue Khayat-Moore was fantastic! She was friendly and helpful, and her team made sure we received everything in a very fast, efficient and professional manner. Definitely would do business again!

John Gray moving did a large move into my home. Damaged my neighbours back walls and refused to take liability. One of workers actually had me sign contract then enter in that John Gray wasn’t responsible so he would get in trouble. When I told them what happened they didn’t believe me and left me stuck with the bill. Would never never never use them. Also one of workers wreaked of alcohol.

Had Andy move us from the US last month and had to write a review. His level of work ethic and professionalism was honestly astonishing. He answered all our questions and kept in contact with us after the load all the way across the border. He was so sweet and even was kind enough to send my wife some of his special coffee grounds when she mentioned she enjoyed coffee. Andy if you are reading this - offer still stands my friend - If you are on the road passing Ottawa, please feel free to stop in anytime to freshen up or even just a quick cup of coffee.

We used John Gray for our move from Ontario to Florida. Our driver Andy Sultan was a total professional and the hardest working person I have ever met. He spent 8 am to 6 pm the day before our move at my house helping me repack boxes and carefully wrap all of the furniture so nothing would get damaged. He was so detail oriented and ensured everything was perfect. We fully trusted him to get all of our stuff safely to our new home and he delivered on time. It made our move so much less stressful. In addition to being great at his job, he was a wonderful person who we enjoyed getting to know. Thank you, Andy, for a smooth move to Florida!

This is the second time that we use John Gray moving and the experience was A-1. The pre-moving experience is very professional and the move-day execution is flawless. We will not hesitate to use this company's services again!

Be aware if you have furniture need to be re-assembled!

They lost the components of two tables during the move, told me to make the "claim" to the insurance company, promised that they will contact all stakeholders to figure things out.

Two weeks later, I never heard back from them, and the insurance company told me to do it myself???

More than $7000 for a service like that, man, this is robbery.

Super happy with our moving experience. The guys arrived on time, and worked efficiently and professionally. Price was competitive and well-worth the professional service. Highly recommend.

Caution with the moving team!!

In September 2023, we relocated from Montreal to the United States with the John Gray moving company. The actual moving process went smoothly, and none of our belongings arrived damaged. However, we are truly disappointed for two main reasons. Firstly, the company's initial quote for our move was undervalued, and in the end, we ended up paying significantly more than the quoted amount.

The second reason is even more distressing. We experienced theft during our move. The moving team in Montreal stole valuable items, including our wedding gift. Despite having paid for the full insurance package to ensure coverage, our attempts to claim insurance were unsuccessful.

One hires a company with the expectation that professionals will handle their furniture, but ending up being robbed is both sad and frustrating.

Mike, (the driver) communicated exceptionally well since the time he picked our furniture from a common point to the time he delivered the furniture to us in BC.
Mike and Matthew went an extra mile to fix few of our items and this is the first time we noticed someone doing so much for the customers. We truly felt they were angels sent by God who helped us so much with this almost cross-country move from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. They both finished unloading in no time and were super efficient in everything. I highly recommend them to each and everyone. They took care of each and every aspect of unloading and delivering professionally.

We used JGM&S for our move from Mtl to Toronto. The Mtl team worked quickly and efficiently, making sure everything was wrapped and protected properly. We asked for a couple of extra stops for the pick up and drop off of a few items, and they were carried out without a glitch. Our stuff was kept in storage with the company for almost 2 years, and I'm happy to report that our possessions have arrived in perfect shape! Again, in TO, the team worked quickly and efficiently. There was a one day delay to the scheduled delivery date due to a truck issue, but we are nonetheless very pleased and would recommend John Gray without reserve. A very special thank you to Roger, who will not take no for an answer and made sure every piece of furniture was brought to its intended spot, disassembling and reassembling them so they could be carried up three flights of very narrow stairs! Thank you, Roger!

The crew took good care of my mother's furniture, they wrapped everything as if it was their own grand-mother's belongings. They were quick and careful. The move was completed without damage. The crew, led by Kyle, were very polite, respectful and professional. I highly recommend them.
