We renovated our home in summer 2020 and looked at many furniture stores but none could compare with Sager's for quality, variety and professional expertise. We bought some pieces off the floor and the rest we ordered. Our sales person, Scott, was so knowledgeable; also very personable and honest in his advice, which we appreciated very much. We're thrilled with everything we chose for our new home, enjoyed every visit to the store and highly recommend Sager's here in Victoria!
We have been purchasing furniture from Sager's for the past 40 years for all of our apartments and homes. The quality of furniture and excellent customer service continue to exceed our expectations. The sales team is professional, polite, helpful, knowledgeable and attentive to our visions and needs. The product is first class as well as the delivery and the after sales service. We feel like family at Sager's. Proper and correct in all aspects!

Do not put any credibility in the below review. I have bought all our furniture at Sagers for over 40 years. Hands down they are the best for product knowledge and service. The owners are on site, they are scrupulously knowledgeable and honest, I rely on their advice implicitly. You do not recieve their level of service anywhere else. Many of my friends buy here and now will not go anywhere else. That says it all. Greg, Bob, Allan, Scott are so knowledgeable and help you with what you want and need, their experience and professionalism really shows. These negative reviews are grinders and nut bags!! Trust me!
This is a very serious criticism of Sager’s furniture in Victoria BC and its owner Bob Coltart.
When I arrived in Victoria, in 2010, I went to Sager’s and met Bob Coltart. Bob strongly recommend the bedroom suite that I purchased; Bob strongly recommended the dining room suite that I purchased. I grew to trust and like Bob. I suppose that is a mistake when dealing with any salespeople.
In the end I spent between $50,000 and $60,000 at Sager’s. One of the items I purchased was a leather sofa that cost $9600.00 after tax. I told Bob that I wanted the leather sprayed for protection and he told me that this kind of leather cannot be sprayed. After a couple of years I notice the leather was getting black in certain areas. Bob came out, and without hesitation identify the black marks as dye transfer, from my clothes. Bob suggested that I could have the areas covered with replacement leather however, I would have to pay for it, the leather may not match, and the dye transfer would continue to happen. This was no solution at all.
I wanted a replacement sofa, Bob refused so I commenced a small claims court action.
Given that retailers work on a 100% mark-up I expect that Bob paid $4500.00 for the sofa however, has spent more than that on defending my claim. When this finally comes to the Supreme Court of BC the judge will want to know why this little claim is in front of the court. Moreover, this will cost Bob and Sager's $20,000 to defend. It just does not seem rational to me. In my opinion Sager's do not stand behind the goods that they sell.
When I reminded Bob Coltart that I had spent over $50,000 he told me that a customer up island had spent several hundred thousand. Implying the amount that I spent was not meaningful.
Buyers beware of Sager’s.

Found identical furniture at a competitor for about $3,000.00 less than what we had ordered and we advised Sagers of this within about 2 working days of placing our order. Unfortunately they stated that they could not cancel it as it was already in production. Their sales person asked if we were willing to meet half way on the $3,000.00 for a $1,500.00 discount. We agreed and did not hear anything back from them so we took them at their word. It was a month or more later when our furniture arrived that I called and asked about the discount when I was about to pay the balance with our Visa and were told that the manager had put a gag order on his employees for them not to talk to us and that we were not getting any discount. There was not much we could do so we obviously paid and also filed a complaint with the BBB which they registered as being valid and is on the BBB site.
This is not a company that I would recommend dealing with as they can not be believed as well as the products are extremely overpriced. If they had furniture you want I would get the product and model numbers and order it through a more trusting company or get a broker to do it for you or if possible directly through the manufacturer or their agent. One or more of these options are available and with a small amount of work you can probably save 33% on a $9,000.00 order, for example.
