The Gait Vest is an adaptive clothing brand that offers support & style to our handicap people. We hand make the vest trim with a fashionable flair, right here in the USA. Our business was built out of need, my Mom had a horrible demise to her good health. She swam, walked everyday yet nothing stopped the fast aging process and she was wheelchair bound. As a active person, it was not an easy transition for her, she hated to get help, but knew she needed it! I created a cool Gaitvest for her, with bright bold colors! She loved it/got compliments and it allowed me to have her age in place. She stayed with us till the very end at 92. Her rotator cuffs were gone, her pelvis got shattered, hit by a car, had both knees replaced and had horrific arthritis in her back & hands, It was nearly impossible to lift her without the vest. It's not pretty getting old, but I helped her look good doing it! I miss her everyday, but have no regrets--she was home and very loved!
