I specialize in pediatric neurology and palliative care, with a special interest in biomedical ethics. I also incorporate aspects of whole person care and mindfulness into my practice.My clinical focus includes general pediatric neurology, such as developmental delay, seizures/epilepsy and headaches/concussion. I have a particular interest in neonatal neurology.My research centers on qualitative methods, currently focused on prognostication — how doctors predict future outcomes — and how we communicate that information to patients and families.In every patient encounter, my goal is to be present and open, so I can best support patients and their families with whatever issues they’re facing. I believe strongly in an integrated team approach, working collaboratively within a health care team and emphasizing patient- and family-centered care. My hope is to be as helpful as I can be to my colleagues, patients and their families.
