Dr. Kristen Matsik was raised in Richmond, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Following this, Dr. Matsik completed her residency at the University of Florida Health Jacksonville. In 2000, she and her husband moved to San Francisco, where she worked in private practice until July 2020. She was also an Associate Clinical Professor-Volunteer at the University of California San Francisco from 2008 to 2020 where she won several awards for Excellence in Clinical Teaching. She was voted by her peers as a Top Doctor in Marin Magazine's poll every year from 2014 to 2020.Her clinical interests include adolescent gynecology, high-risk obstetrics, minimally-invasive treatments for abnormal uterine bleeding, menopause and sexual health. She was certified in 2021 by the North American Menopause Society as a Certified Menopause Practitioner. She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health. ,She is married with three children and enjoys spending time with her family, working out, playing tennis and pickleball, boating and going to the beach.
