Barr's Motel

Doesn't even deserve half a star. Rudest owner I've ever encountered. Car broke down and needed a cheap place to stay. Spoke to owner on phone and could already tell I was bothering her. Was told I couldn't reserve a room on the phone. Told I had to in person. Told her I would be there in 10 minutes. When I arrived. Door was locked. I phoned and mentioned I was at office. Was told they had no rooms. She couldn't even come out of the locked office instead spoke on the phone while looking at me thru the window. Wow!!! Why run a motel? City should shut it down. Not very tourist friendly. I think the other reviews are %100 true if drugs, prostitution etc..are within, I'm glad I didn't stay. The city of Barrie, I would hope do something about shutting it down. At least give people traveling a good experience like most other hotels, motels, etc...
