Wedgewood Motel

Been staying here since January. This motel is one of the worst rundown outdated dirty motels in Halifax. Things that were supposed to be included in the room such as a working stove and air conditioner haven't worked since day one. Have contacted management and owners to no avail. Nothing was or has been fixed. The beds are full of stains and are extremely old. No towels,face cloths, toilet tissue or kleenex in room. Sagging floors which are absolutely nasty. The young man who works in the office with whom family owns this dump and the housekeeping staff are seen smoking marijuanna in the back of the building with tenants long and short term stays. Drugs are a constant smell you will deal with especially if you want to stay in the back. When contacted Dave the property manager /owner when contacted regarding these issues have not been at all dealt with. Would highly not recommend this place for children although they have a play area for the children. This place is not child friendly with the drugs and drinking in the parking lots front and in back is a constant. I also have talked to other long term residents who have also stated there were bedbugs in their rooms. When even going to your rooms there is garbage from last visitors left outside the rooms. Some of which has been there for over two weeks and counting. Shower curtains covered in mold. Pillows all should be tossed out. They smell, are stained with I don't want to know. We tossed ours and bought new, absolutely would not use them. So if you are looking for a cheap dive to stay this is the place for you. Drugs easily accessible from tenants in building in back. Just head up the back stairs and bam. Drugs right there for the buying. Can watch residents smoking dope at all hours of the day and night. Also some long and short term slayers have reported thefts so do not keep valuables in your rooms. The room keys are passed around like the joints being smoked.
