DISHONEST. Look them up on Glassdoor, even their own employee says so! Read the other negative reviews and you'll see a clear pattern of people who looked close enough to find the ugly truth behind this company.

My condo management called them to fix the AC/heat pump in my unit. Their inspection said old hoses were the problem, after which they replaced the hoses and it still didn't work. They said the unit had to be taken in for more testing. Then they found a (one single failed part) $1200 problem that needed fixing, to which they refused to provide me an itemized invoice, saying that they don't do itemized receipts. They got super defensive saying that I could take my unit elsewhere, but that they were going to charge me another $250 if I wanted to do that. With tied hands and no money to spare, I caved (I shouldn't have). About 10 days later they finally fixed things.

Turns out they lied when they said they don't itemize invoices, because they sent me two itemized invoices for the first - unsuccessful,$750 - repair!

I called to confront them about being caught in their lie. Their response was that since everything was already paid for, there was nothing they could do (in other words, they already took my money so why bother with anything else). They still refused to itemize the $1200 repair.

Honest work isn't hard to defend or explain to a layperson. An honest contractor or technician shouldn't have any issues giving you an itemized invoice. I should have listened to the red flags, but at least I can tell you about them. Take your honest money and find an honest company to give it to.

Below you'll find them replying with either a) I'm not in their system or b) denying wrongdoing because how could they be in business if they weren't honest.

Thermo Cool Mechanical has been extremely helpful in replacing my heat pump problem. I initially called them for a service call to check out my unit because I had no AC. The technician was very thorough with his inspection and informed me that my best option was to replace my unit. I called in to get a quote on the replacement. The receptionist was very knowledgeable and explained the different options in units, and their respective warranties. I called multiple companies for comparable prices on the heat pump unit and Thermo Cool was by far the most reasonable price with the best warranty. Thermo Cool had stock of the unit and were able to install the next day. The install was very smooth and clean. The unit has been functioning well without any issues. If you own a condo I highly recommend contacting Thermo Cool to service your suite.

If there would be an option of zero stars, I would of chose that. Had a great experience few years ago and decided to call back since the air-conditioner wasn't working and I've dealt with the company before. The service mechanic was wonderful. When I received a call to quote the price I was never told there will be additional charges for the labour, I thought the price was final for everything: included the labour and the part. However on my bill I saw double the amount that I was quoted and on top I've asked them to charge on a different card and they failed to do so. When I tried to call to resolve the issue the lady wouldn't even want to speak to me and said she will pass my phone to the manager, from who I haven't heard back yet. Very disappointing. In the world where there is so much competition, I would assume they will work hard in the clientelling and customer service but I guess that's not the priority. I will never be using this company and will make sure our building will not be services by them.

I found that thermo cool mechanical had the best pricing on replacement of my heat pump unit. They also did a clean installation.

Our building was mechanically retrofitted by thermo cool. They maintained schedule and budget.

I had my heat pump unit replaced by thermo cool with an aqua therm model. It came with the best warranty I could find.

In and out unit is working fine, will definitely get them back for future service.

Thermo Cool Mechanical was one of the best company's. I had many contractors coming to my condo and they kept telling me that my system was working and there nothing they could do. I had asked explained to my Neighbor what had happen and she told me to contact the company she went with. So I contacted Thermo cool. I explain to the receptionist my issues. She explained to be possible things to try before setting up call and than explain to her the noise I hear and she explained to me could possibly be the motor by the sound of it. She sent out a technical the same day i contacted her. The technician was very knowledgeable. He trouble shooting everything to check to function of the unit. He explained to me that the motor need to be replaced and show me the possible reason why this had happen. Technician replace motor and unit was working in the best condition it was when I purchase the unit. The price was very afford for the repairs. I have never had a issues seen and if i do, I will be contact Thermo Cool Mechanical!!!!

I have been a thermo cool perform service many times. Ive had amazing service from the first call of with receptionist. Gave me all the information i needed to schedule appointment, helped me set my schedule, contacted me 1 hour before, called on site before perform any repairs, send me my invoice via email. Technician were very clean did not make a mess, contacted me to discuss some technical questions as i requested. Ive never had some great service from the minute i call to the end of my service. I got a hold of Thermo Cool for service at my condo. They responded with same day service in the middle of a cold snap. I had my heating up and running within a few hours of calling. Highly recommended.

I had a few other contractors look at my heat pump and quoted me a lot of money to repair. Thermo Cool installed a spare chassis in my suite while they repaired my heat pump for less than half of what the other contractors quoted me.

Bad customer service AND WORSE TECHNICAL HELP; the annoying people who answer the phone should have given me a hint about the company. They only worry about money and not really the service, they charge you even for parking.

They came twice to 'repair' my furnace and each time they wrote in the report that something else was to be done, and charging each time more and more, after $ 900 of repairs they haven't fix it. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

I really feel violated, this company should be reported.

I live in a condo downtown. Thermo Cool charged me more than $600 for a blower & capacitor on a HVAC under warranty (parts & labour with them) + technician's labour for a total of $850.

Only 30 day warranty on the blower. Maybe a chinese product that doesn't cost much.

I'm looking for another company for a repair service in case the blower doesn't work after 30 days.

I live in a condominium in the downtown area and my current Enerzone heat pump unit needed replacing. After calling many big/small name HVAC companies Thermo Cool Mechanical had the most competitive rate and offered the best warranties out there. I high recommend Thermo Cool Mechanical to anyone and I will be using them again for any further maintenance and or service.

I have used many HVAC companies in the past and Thermo Cool Mechanical was the best! The staff is extremely knowledgeable, even the receptionist. The technicans are extremely clean and used boot covers and drop sheets. My heat pump unit had to be replaced. I contacted other companies to compare pricing and warranty. However, Thermo Cool Mechanical has the best pricing and warranty on the market. I had an Aqau Therm water source heat pump unit installed and I am extremly happy. I would highly recommend Thermo Cool.

I have nothing negative to say about thermo cool. They replaced my heat pump with an Aqua Therm and it has been working great for about the last year.

Beware as they will over-charge you and lie and if you catch them over-charging you they will become abusive and put up a big fight. Dealing with them was a nightmare. I hope that sharing my experience can save someone else the grief. I've notice that there are some positive reviews about this company. They do seem to know what they are doing -- but they seem to use this knowledge to rip off clients. And they don't seem to have any respect for clients. We're just money grabs they're going to get away with whatever they can. Had I not checked on prices with the supplier I would be out an extra 500.00. If I hadn't noticed, I would have thought they were great too. When I brought the overcharge to their attention they became abusive and evasive. So glad that experience is behind me!

We have had all four of our condos serviced by Thermocool and the techs were very efficient and knowledgable. We will definately use them always.

We have fan coils and watersourced heat pump both of which they have performed excellent service on.

Got my heat pump going until I could get together enough money for a new one. Saved me from freezing this winter.

This company is a joke, we have had nothing but problems with Thermal Cool. Very bad customer service.
