Blue Cactus Renovations

PLEASE READ!!!!!!! DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON! Zero stars, zero stars, I repeat, zero stars! To be honest, based on our time with "Prole Construction", I am sure this is not a legit company that has a certified contractor who now works for Blue Cactus Renovations. The phone number listed is answered by a guy named Dustin Dominie, "Dusty", and he is a criminal scam artist. No, I am not kidding and I'll be happy to provide photos of Dusty's work (which he blames on others). Dusty came into our home and signed a contract with us agreeing to have a job done in "two-three weeks". He insisted on getting the full payment in the form of a personal check up front, before any work began. Sketchy, right? Well, three months later, the work is half-way done and we can no longer get Dusty to do any more repairs. I say repairs VERY lightly. This man's quality of work is not even a consideration. For example, he textured and painted over tape. Not kidding! Dusty agreed that his work was super sloppy and half complete in September and agreed to refund us ONLY HALF our money BY October 31, 2020. Still no money, no call, no human decency what-so-ever. When we told Dusty to please not return to our home as he was ruining it with his sloppy, not able to pass code "work", he told us he cannot refund us our money because he spent it all and has none of it left. He spent almost $14,000 of our money, but yet we are literally left with an unfinished project, no shower glass, no bathtub, no paint/grout/supplies, water pouring from our exhaust fan and lights, a huge split in our ceiling due to the water pipe he cut, and much more. We hired an entirely different company to repair all Dusty has messed up in our home and it is a true nightmare that we have learned from. Be VERY careful who you trust and who you let into your home because people like Dusty exist and will mess your life up. Dusty Dominie has taken nearly $15,000 from a Marine and a foster/adoption household with 7 kids. Truly, this man, Dusty, is what is wrong with this world we live in. He has come into our home with a smile on his face, wrecked our home, and pocketed all our hard-earned money. Absolutely the definition of a human snake. I repeat with kindness and respect to the next person looking to take that step with home repairs, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE!! If needed, refer to TK Bush's review on Google. Literally, the same thing, but probably worse, that our family has been put through by Dusty Dominie.
