Ex-Cell Hearing Centres is a locally owned family business run by John and Brigite Letts. Brigite was born and raised in a rural community in Saskatchewan. As the daughter of a farming family, Brigite was exposed to her own father's noise-induced hearing loss. At a young age, she gained an appreciation for the debilitating effects that a hearing loss can cause. Despite her acknowledgement of these circumstances, not even Brigite could foresee the important role that hearing loss would take in her life. In 1982, Brigite met and fell in love with John, who was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and they married five years later. As a matter of coincidence, or perhaps destiny, John was pursuing a career in the hearing profession. In October of 1987, John and Brigite purchased Ex-Cell Hearing Centres Ltd., where John was employed. John has taken the lead role in supporting the professional organizations and in creating industry standards to improve patient care delivered to those with hearing loss. Ex-Cell is a member of CHIPS - Canadian Hearing Instrument Practitioners Society SHIPS - Saskatchewan Hearing Instrument Practitioners Society and is Government Licensed in Saskatchewan.
