January 21, 2007, the Austintown Township Trustees passed a resolution officially designating a six-acre area near Interstate 80 and State Route 46 as “Bike Town.”
The purpose of the resolution was to create awareness for the area that would serve as the new location for the Mahoning Valley’s premier Harley-Davidson® dealership, which became known as Harley-Davidson® Bike Town.
