Adam Barnett, MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in catheter ablation, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation and the overall management of arrhythmias. Dr. Barnett received his medical degree from Duke University and went on to complete an internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship also at Duke University. He then completed an additional two-year fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Duke University. Dr. Barnett specializes in ablation of hard-to-treat arrhythmias, such as ventricular tachycardia, premature ventricular contractions, atrial fibrillation and supraventricular tachycardia. He also implants all types of pacemakers and defibrillators, including cardiac resynchronization devices, leadless pacemakers, and subcutaneous defibrillators. Before medical school, he worked as an electrical engineer and received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughters, cycling, and playing the piano.
