Altadore Gymnastics Club, Calgary Reviews (1)
Zero star rating is my intention but I must select 1 to post. This had to be the worst "customer service" experience I have ever had - well, not for me but for my 4 year old girl with dreams of trying cheerleading.
We arrive (drop in) and the girl at the front counter doesn't acknowledge us - ok I think, she is cashing out. I give her time to finish, and we were still ignored so I initiated my inquiry as to their cheerleading program. The way we were talked to I am amazed that people actually pay to use that facility! Could we watch a class? Nope, it's in the back gym so consider yourself lucky if you can catch a glimpse. Ok, well my daughter is 4 and I want to make sure this is something she really wants after seeing a class or having a trial class before I commit my investment for it. So do they offer a trial class since we can't watch it? Nope - "Listen, this is how it works. You buy the program and she comes to do it, if she likes it GREAT, if not well now you know."
My instinct would be to rip a strip of common courtesy to this "representative" of the club, but not in front of my daughter. So my girl is baffled, why can't she see the cheerleaders? Why can't she try it? I let her watch the gymnastics there and she is not interested (been there done that), so we leave with her asking me why she wasn't allowed to see them.
I will say that she is happily cheerleading at another club that welcomed her in as family instead of an "outsider". She has found her passion and this club lost a potential client. If the front desk experience is anything like management I don't believe this feedback would even be mentioned.
