Mark E. Humphrey, MD, MPH, is a board-certified family medicine physician and medical director for the Prisma Health Family Medicine Center. Prior to joining Prisma Health, he served as a medical and preventive medicine officer with the U.S. Navy, where he completed a humanitarian tour to the South Pacific. Dr. Humphrey received his medical degree from the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Louisville community program in Glasgow, Kentucky. With an interest in global health and health care policy, Humphrey then completed a preventive medicine residency and a master's degree in public health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. He is particularly interested in population-based quality improvement, community medicine, health care policy and global health.
