Richard A. Edelson, MD, PhD, FACC, is a cardiologist with Prisma Health Cardiology and a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and his PhD in biological chemistry at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, where he also served his internship and residency in internal medicine and completed a fellowship in cardiology.
