With the shop and go self serve isles, workers should be on the job always to make sure customers who get cash back recieve thier cash. With the dispencer at knee level,it's to easy to forget'your money when it's out of site out of mind unthoughtful design is in place.I was told i would get a call reguarding this problem,as i left some cash at the dispencer during a busy day of mine in LaSalle.I do take responsibility for this error, but somebody should be there to check on this issue. As far as seletion at this store goes, slim pickins.More space goes to pc brands and they are slowly giving us less choice so we can walk past an ever growing clothes and other large markup items.Fresh Co across the street continues to improve and give us good prices, quality and for the size of the building, choice.

I am one of many long-time patrons of the Zehr's grocery store, shopping for a family of six, who is most disappointed with Zehr's produce department. Yesterday, I counted 7 different types of tomatoes and not one of them was locally (we have the best greenhouses in Ontario) grown. When I inquired, the manager informed me that many people had complained about no North American produce, and being offered produce mostly from Mexico. When head office was informed of this, the complaint always fell on deaf ears. One reason head office gave was that local tomatoes are too expensive. I would like you to know that across the side street from Zehr's is a new store "Freshco". Here many of the tomatoes are Leamington greenhouse and the Roma tomatoes were cheaper than any Mexican tomato offered at Zehr's. Where do you think the consumer should shop? I as a consumer am grateful that I have the choice and will do my shopping at Freshco or any other grocery store that offers local products. It would be nice if you would consider the wishes of your patrons, especially when they are made in the interests of healthy eating for their families and reducing our carbon footprints.

I have been buying only local foods for the past few years now.. If it's not grown in Ontario or at least Canada... I won't buy it.

I agree, with local produce available all around zehrs,we should be able to buy the freshest local produce at all times.they have enough managers there that one of them should be able to do some research and phone calls.

I would like to rate the store on Malden Rd. even lower. Every shopping trip is a nightmare. What have you done to the shelving in produce. Cardboard and sytrofoam? Lower prices ? No one I have talked to sees a difference in your prices. Yesterday there was not one shopping cart to be had. When I approached the cashier that oversees self-checkout with this complaint, she looked at me, walked away without a word. I went back to the area where the carts are supposed to be and a veteran cashier was going out to the parking lot to retrieve carts. By this time, there were ten of us waiting for a cart. I wasn't in the produce section two minutes when a elderly person approached with a $1.69 cucumber in her hand. She said I thought we were supposed to be getting lower prices? She then shared with me that she was going to start shopping across the street at Price Choppers. The clothing section is absolutely absurd. Cheap Zeller's quality. In the last month, I haven't heard a positive statement about your store. You add clothing and elimate products that made me go to the previous Zehr's. Last week I told my cashier how nice it was to see a familiar face. The young, inexperienced people you have hired (to give us lower prices,Hah) are not friendly and seem to have no interest in being there at all. In closing, I have shopped at your store under a few different names for over thirty years and my patience with ill-advised changes is about done. Please have some compassion for the old employees who are trying hard during this trying stage.I remain agitated. Lynda Kubinec lyndak@cdpis.ca
