Waterloo North Hydro

As an electrical contractor I requested and scheduled Waterloo North Hydro to remove and re-intall the electrical meter. They charge $85 for this service whereas Kitchener Hydro, Cambridge Hydro, and Guelph Hydro do not. Furthermore on the day the panel is being changed you must phone them by 2:30 in the afternoon to tell them that the electrical inspector has not arrived yet. If you do not phone them by that time then they will charge you overtime rate to re- install the meter. But they know that the electrical inspector always phones them immediately after an inspection to authorize them to re-install the meter and the time of the call is recorded. So, when I couldn't phone them in time I was charged overtime rate that amounted to $374.00. The meter was re-installed by 5 pm. No other utility charges for overtime or anything to remove or re-install a meter. In fact once upon a time Kitchener Hydro re-installed a meter at 8 pm and did not charge anything for their service. Waterloo North Hydro is the greediest hydro utility of them all.
