Justin T. Carreras, PhD, MP, is a licensed medical and clinical psychologist at Ochsner Children's Hospital. Dr. Carreras received his doctoral and master's degrees in psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, as well as a postdoctoral master's in clinical psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans. He completed his internship at Momentous Institute in Dallas, and he completed his fellowship in pediatric psychology at Ochsner. He has a special clinical interest in working with children and adolescents with somatic symptoms and functional impairment (such as functional pain and functional neurological symptoms), as well as helping patients with diabetes and inflammatory bowel disease adjust to new diagnoses and adhere with their treatment plans. Dr. Carreras enjoys watching New Orleans Saints football in his free time.
