Bedrock Basement recently completed a partial renovation of my home (late 2025), and I was very happy with the experience. The team was professional, efficient, and detail-oriented from start to finish. They managed time effectively, kept me informed throughout the process, and even came in slightly under budget thanks to some scope adjustments.
What stood out most was their responsiveness—any concerns or questions I had were addressed quickly and thoroughly. The quality of workmanship is good, and the entire project was handled with transparency and care.

I would start by saying I’m not an easy client to deal with. From our first meeting with Dmitry we kind of knew we were going to go with Bedrock Basements. This turned out to be a fantastic decision.
At the design stage, Dmitry shared 3 different drawings and options within a range of our budget. We were adamant on a permit and Dmitry didn’t hesitate to help with that.
We were constantly updated about timelines and various trades and their visits. I had a thousand questions and Dmitry was patient in answering each one of those. This was key because I wasn’t getting this comfort with some of the other contractors I made inquiries with. Along the way, we kept on exploring new ideas and changes which Dmitry was able to accommodate at a reasonable cost (given our budget constraints). There were certain hiccups along the way but Dmitry owned it all and made sure things were done the right way even though we didn’t notice anything wrong. He would notice things and have them corrected right away.
Ultimately, we are very happy with our new basement that’s been transformed into something functional and beautiful (and certainly exceeded our highest expectations). If I could give 5 stars plus I would. All of the trades peoples were efficient, and worked long hours to get the job done. The quality of the work was excellent. No stone was left unturned to get the job done on time. Dmitry was very professional and timely with all correspondence and with positive answers to our inquiries. Pricing was excellent and there was a large selection of finishing options. We would definately recommend Bedrock to family and friends.

We hired Bedrock Basements to finish our basement. Dmitry was very responsive from the first day he came to provide a quote until the final walk through. He answered all our questions and when developing the design gave us insights and suggestions when we weren’t sure how we wanted to achieve something. When we were considering different options in the design stage (for example our stairway) he was able to quickly pull up his laptop and show a few different ways he had done it before on other projects. This was really helpful to see his work to find what worked best for us.

Dmitry kept us posted on the progress of his various trades throughout the process. His team completed the work on schedule and they worked really hard to get everything done on time. Overall the quality of the work is excellent. You can tell from how Dmitry responds to any questions/comments we had that he really cares about client satisfaction and takes pride in his projects.

Dmitry delivered on budget and there were no surprises in our final price. The initial quote was an itemized list. We made some changes as we developed our vision for the space and found his detailed breakdown to be very transparent for the costing. For one of the things we added, being cogniscent of our budget goals, Dmitry provided us with a few different options and material types of varying price points. He helped find a solution to achieve what we are looking for that worked within our budget.

Our unfinished basement has been transformed to a beautiful entertaining space and laundry room. We couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s our new favourite place in our home. I would highly recommend Dmitry and his team and would hire them again for another project. It was a great experience overall.

I’m very pleased with my basement renovation done by Bedrock Basements and their manager, Dmitry. He’s super nice, reliable, and easy to work with. I liked the design he suggested and I am very pleased with the final result. A few small problems came up along the way, but Dmitriy took care of them quickly and properly. I’m very happy with the whole experience and will definitely recommend him to others. If I ever need to renovate anything else, I’ll be calling him again!

RIght from the start Dimitry was precise, professional, answered every question we had, and was super easy to get a hold of. His crew (shout out to Vitali who was amazing) was quick, super nice, and worked around the fact that we had a dog on site every day. From a completely unfinished basement, so what we ended up with completely exceeded our expectations. The price was super competitive, and the timeline he gave was bang on! Ran into two little hiccups, but Dimitry made them right immediately. Highly, highly recommend Bedrock Basements!

We are very pleased with our new basement! Dmitry was able to keep the project on schedule and delivered a quality basement that we will be happy to use for decades to come. He turned our unfinished basement into a rec room with built-in shelves, pantry, walk up bar and home gym. The walk up bar really adds that next level of sophistication to the space.

I contracted Bedrock Basements to put in a legal, small 2 bedroom apartment in my basement. Dmitry came over and we discussed what I wanted. I chose them because they came in at a much more affordable total than the 5 other companies that I received quotes from. Dmitry was professional, helpful and thorough. He was on top of my Permit when it was taking a long time to be received. He was organized and kept me informed of the trades people who would be coming in daily. His team of contractors/trades people were all professional, polite, respectful and clean. They would come in bright and early and worked all day to achieve timelines. Dmitry even repaired my gate so it would close and it was not part of the contract. I am very happy with the work that was done and I would recommend Dmitry and the team from Bedrock Basements Limited for any projects that you have coming up.

From the beginning stages of getting an estimate and discussing options I was impressed with Dmitri’s knowledge and professionalism, providing suggestions on what is possible. It is clear that he has a lot of experience in renovating basements.

When it came time to start on the project itself I was honestly surprised how hard the team worked, often doing 10, 11 or almost 12 hour days. Sometimes you hear horror stories of renovations taking months with no progress - and thankfully my experience here was far from that. My husband and I had been contemplating finishing our basement for a few years now. However, like most people today, looking to pursue such a project we had a lot to consider....

The quality of work (of course), time to complete the project, and most of all the cost.

With much thought we contacted five different companies both big and small to come into our home to see our space and provide us with what we hoped would be a honest and fair estimate base on our "VISION" and our "BUDGET"

With allot to consider, we ultimately decided to go with Dmitry, and we are extremely happy we did!! Dmitry checked all the boxes.....
- completion of the project was executed in a timely manner (ten weeks)
- Dmitry provided options to purchase from his catalogue or choose our own finishes where Dmitry was very accommodating.
- Communication was great. We always knew when any member of Dmitry's team would show up so that we were prepared.
- And of course our budget. Dmitry's quote for this project was the most favourable in comparison to the other quotes we'd received. Even with adding in new finishes and details throughout the process.

However, what truly sealed the deal for us was knowing that we would be dealing directly with Dmitry as our project manager. This was extremely important as we consider ourselves to be highly detailed and quality driven people. We had a very specific vision in mind which Dmitry was excited to take on and eager to tackle working closely with us to meet any and all expectations.

The quality of craftsmanship and level of detail surly exceeded our expectations. A huge shout out to Vitaly (The Finisher), tile, flooring, painters, plumbers, electricians, drywall, and cleaning crews. We truly appreciate everyone's dedication and hard work.

Finally, we are very proud to say.. we are the "SPEAKEASY" and we couldn't be more thrilled with our new, sexy basement!!
