The country courses are not to be overlooked. Especially when they get a little rain. This year has been kind to them and the fairways are in great shape. And Bent Stick is a fun but challenging round. Most of the time you can walk on and play. Management very friendly. First hole (Difficult Beginnings) sets the tone, a long shallow drop, then up a hill to the green. #2 another long par 4, with a raised green surrounded by a little water and shrubbs enticing one to go for the green in two. The par threes are no given, both of them 200 yard holes and one elevated way up like an ice cream cone; better stay to the right or the chip is a straight up adventure. But doable. A fun course and a reasonable price. Oh, and there is a resident pussycat that loves to ride on the golf carts. She just jumps on and walks or rides between holes. Gets off at every shot, somehow stays out of the way, then rides to the next spot. Had to move her couple times cause she liked to lay on the green, even when I explained she was in the way, but rolled her over with the putter and got the shot in. Cat did entire 9 holes with me last time out; then wandered off when I started driving toward the clubhouse. Think she wanted to do another 9.

Fair enough course, the "works" we're horrible. Cranky, rushed us through. I'll never go back

The course itself is average in difficulty and overall condition for a 9 hole public course. The real beauty is that they only charge $9 per round! Cash only. It's never crowded and as such makes for a great family outing or just a quick 9 after work. There is no restaurant, pro shop, or "beer cart", so bring your own refreshments. There are no left hand rental clubs, I'm not sure about right. The folks who operate the course are very easy going and pleasant to chat with.
