SCAM ALERT
I would like to preface this with saying my friend works here & she is an amazing artisan but this franchisee & this company is absolutely TERRIBLE!!!
Basically in an attempt to do something nice for myself I ended up in a ‘gym membership’ situation. BEWARE!!!!!
After being a training model I decided I wanted to keep coming every 2 weeks, wouldn’t that be nice?!?! WRONG!!! Good luck navigating the absolutely terrible text system. I was so confused by it, especially the part where I had to put down a CC to hold funds just to make an appointment. Why? I had a membership & it DID NOT reflect my ‘credits’ but wanted me to sign a contract that I would pay double to make said appointment. I went into a physical location to make an appointment which was irksome for the lash girl as she had to stop what she was doing because there was no receptionist. Appointment made a week ahead of time. Good. WRONG. After confirming via text I was promptly CANCELLED 2 days before my appointment.
Tried calling. WRONG. There are no phones, only a text based system. Hours upon hours to get responses or anywhere with an answer. I was done with the frustration. This was supposed to be fun, a lift for myself. I asked for a refund - I hadn’t even used it. I COULDN’T because of the online barriers & no way to contact a human. WRONG. The corporate office agrees to call - says I am ‘contractually bound’. Look they cancelled on ME on my first appointment & why the hell am I having funds held to make an appointment. This is not an enjoyable merry-go-round. Then I find out this contract is MONTH TO MONTH. So what the hell is the problem? Obviously now I am a completely disgruntled ‘customer’, if you want to call me that because I haven’t even gone in. Corporate tells me it is up to the franchisee but they can’t give me any info because it’s private BECAUSE THERE ARE NO PHONES.
So I get the email address. I email offering to not take this further if I can just be refunded. I really don’t want to cause an issue because my friend works there but if not, I will scream it from the rooftops. You guessed it, I was IGNORED. I text corporate the next day. They text me the franchisee has decided not to refund me. No explication (and does not have the balls to contact me). Also I will be charged ANOTHER month per the agreement.
UMMM NO - Deka Lash is a smarmy gym membership type scam. I will be seeing them in small claims court. The corporate entity was sure to tell me they are not involved - sue the franchise owner. STAY FAR AWAY
