Upsetting for the poor service recieved at this location:
- Appoint made for glass installation, bring in to location in 2 days.
- Brought vehicle in & was told that they would have to order specific glass for vehicle.
- Recieved call two weeks later glass arrived
- Brought vehicle in next day(morning), only to find out wrong glass was ordered.
- Glass was reordered, vehicle brought back two days later.
- Two days the company had my vehicle for installation due to complications installing windshield?? (complications are they not an autobody shop that deals with windshield repair?)
- Picked up vehicle and windshield was not sealed properly. Sealant loose on bottom and gaps on sides. Company will now have to take another few hours to reseal windshield.
UNBELIEVABLE! excuse after excuse, no reason for this poor service with such a well known company name. Three weeks to install a windshield is not acceptable service.

I have always been treated with respect at Boyds Auto Body. Clarence Stefanson.

Do not take your vehicle here for repairs! They do not do the work at this location. Your vehicle will be taken to the King Edward location for repairs, so deal directly with their incompetent staff instead of the go between guy at Portage Ave. location. The customer service rep I dealt with at the Portage Avenue location was anything but professional, actually going as far as swearing at me over the phone because I would call him to get an update on several unresolved issues related to the work being done. I took my vehicle in to have a lock repaired after an attempted break in and ended up having 5 panels on my vehicle repainted because of damage done to it while it was in Boyd's possession. After almost 6 weeks without my vehicle and still not having all damages repaired, I dealt with the better business bureau, Winnipeg Police Service and the regional Boyd Manager in Saskatoon. Not surprisingly Boyd IS NOT a member of the Better Business Bureau. A customer should not have to go through small claims court to get things fixed properly but that's where our case would have ended up. We opted, after over 3 months of one sided communication with Boyd to let it go because it was becoming a daily stress in our lives. I don't wish this upon anyone, so please avoid Boyd Autobody altogether!
