Broco Auto Glass & Upholstery, Chilliwack Reviews (1)
In Jan. we received a quote to replace the vinyl conv. top of $2200-2500, Broco was awarded the job as their quote was in the ballpark. That was July 10th.
Yesterday Aug 22nd, we paid more than $4200 for the job and the old top had already been removed and frame preped. It had to be adjusted before the new vinyl applied. Broco charged 39 hrs. @ 65.00 shop labour, 2 1\2 days more than quotes. Materials quoted by all competiors was $465.00, Broco charged over $1200.00 for the same materials.
Broco's technician pored oil into the motor part of the conv. pump instead of in the reservoir, then waited over a week to notify us. We ended up removing the hydraulic system, paying to rebuild this new pump, which is now not covered under warranty, and we were advised to replace it , as it was over heated as well. No compensation was adjusted and we were brushed off, as they seem to be busy with windshields. After the fact they admit they don't know about that stuff"
Two bucket seats and back bench seat, were upholstered, as well as all door pannels, that fee we paid was over $3100.00, for labour, materials, for that part of the job, we supplied. Competitors quoted $1500, for the same job and would take 3 weeks, not 6 weeks as I didn't receive the car on time for my wedding day. I am very dissaponted and strongly advise anyone out there to be aware.
