I’ve been shopping at Arti&Mestieri for the last 25 years. They are so incredibly talented and innovative in all areas including home decor, gifts and party planning. I’ve used them for all my special occasions and their attention to detail and quality of work is unparalleled. They go above and beyond to deliver and satisfy their customers needs.

Incredible store for home decor, gifts, children’s wear, party favours and more! Everyone who works here is lovely - very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I've been shopping here for unique gifts for years, they always have amazing finds, and the way they wrap their items really elevates the gift. I also purchased my childrens bombiniere here, they were gorgeous! The girls took the time to help me pick out the perfect item, and personalized them too. Highly recommended!

When I first met with A&M designers (the sisters) I was very happy. They had lots of items in various books and they sat down with me at the large table upstairs and we came up with beautiful concepts. The designers are busy and also very short/to the point people, but they weren't rude. I did have the comment (like another reviewer below) about budget. I thought that they were implying I couldn't afford it. On the one hand, it was nice that they were looking out for my budget, but on the other hand, you start to think that maybe they think you can't afford it and that's kind of insulting, like why would I be there, wasting everyone's time? I think the designer should ask "what did you have in mind to pay for certain items?" or "are you willing to see a few items and then decide". You can't judge people based on what they are wearing or their age because you don't know what they may have in mind. Also, their mind might change if an items is really beautiful, they might splurge a little more. However, regarding the other 2: front desk/nameless lady and other prego lady, I found the EXACT same thing as the others regarding bad customer service. I will say that the main lady at the front desk seems constantly annoyed. I feel like my mere presence is annoying her, yet I am there to seriously order and pay. She's always that way, as I have been in on many days and with others who have also noticed it. I have seen customers literally walk out because no one said hello to them or asked them if they could help them, for example. When you are the first point of contact in any business, you need to be pleasant and can't judge...you don't know what people have in mind and for the future. She just looks like she doesn't want to be there and has bad energy towards people coming in. I think this is one of their main problems: their first point of contact is not pleasant and it really turns people off, especially people who are looking forward to big events like and are in there willing to spend money in order to make it special and are therefore on deadlines to make sure things are in, correct, etc. You have to understand this and that you're dealing with people who have feelings. So, learn from these reviews. Another issue is there seems to be poor communication among the girls/ladies, each one with a different story and then it seems like i'm getting it wrong all the time. I call the designer and want to know when to pick up an item (finally, after it arrives!) and then it's like "Well, I have to call so and so" and then so and so doesn't call me back, so I have to call again. And the cat and mouse continues. Eventually, I do get a response. Sometimes it feels as if I am always 'mixing it up'. But, after thinking about it --> How can this be? I have many university degrees: I am organized and surely can follow simple directions about when to come in and pick up an item?!? They ARE unorganized as other reviewers said. Also, the things come in WAY later than promised. Just be honest and say "This will take months" instead of "you'll get it in by your deadline". In January I ordered some items and they arrived in June. They also lack the ability to give concrete/direct instructions to customers: a lot of blaming the customer and putting one against the other like 'so and so told you x, y'. Despite all this, I have ignored them/let it go and have literally spent thousands in this store because I like the items. It feels very disrespectful and rude along with mixed instructions. I don't think it is fair to treat people/your customers and future business this way. Will definitely NOT refer to anyone. Anyone know of a good designer? Time for a new one.

I definitely agree with the first two posts. Although they do good work, my experience in dealing with anyone on a personal level was not a very good one.

The store is cluttered. The staff is horribly unwelcoming. There are many other shops in the GTA that offer much better service and have the same type of merchandise. Instead of having a lovely experience in this high price store, you leave feeling like they did YOU a favour. Steer clear.

Sure, as the previous reviewer stated, "the owners give you free range to look around and are not pushy" because they ignore you! I find the owners to be rude with awful customer service. The store does have beautiful items, but considering the price point, I would expect to receive exceptional service. Instead, I found that they often questioned what my price point was or remarked at whether items I wanted were in my budget, even though I had remarked several times that budget was not an issue. Delivery of items were several weeks later than promised, with no return to my phone calls and when they were finally reached, they either brushed me off or lied about when the product would come. Beautiful items, but the bad service does not make me want to return.

If you are looking for a special gift for someone who has fine taste then look no more as this beautifully decorated quaint store has just what you need. There are ornate picture frames, french milled soaps, lamps, decor and so much more. If you are also looking for a party favour to a baptism, shower or wedding then you will not be disappointed. The only drawback may be the price but the old saying goes you get what you pay for and you will not find another store with such exquisite items. I love shopping at this store as the owners give you free range to look around and are not pushy so you feel comfortable in your purchase..Take my advice you will thank me for it!
