I had my 1968 Camaro worked on at this shop - Jaymar Auto Restoration - and had a TERRIBLE experience! He always wanted more money from me but he wasn't completing the work it was supposed to pay for. So he stopped working on my car when it was only half done and wouldn't answer his phone. Parts of my car were misplaced, broken or straight out lost. The welding and fabrication was amateur at best. Then it took him 2 1/2 more years just to get the first coat of paint sprayed on but he used the wrong type of paint and he and his buddy got over spray all over other previously restored parts, what a mess!! Other parts he was going to just leave in primer and didn't understand that primer will rust through. The quality was poor, full of dust specks and different shades of color. He got so confused and overwhelmed he eventually returned my car to me unpainted, unfinished and not even running.
BEWARE!!
If you consider getting work done on your car at this shop MAKE SURE you get every single detail in writing including a very clear description of the work that is to be done, the costs, completion date, paint type and color number. MAKE SURE YOU GET REFERENCES.
