we love our home, it is beautiful and exactly what we want! Dealing with East forest Homes after service AWFUL!! We have been in our home for two years now and we are still waiting on things to be repaired from our one year. The customer service person does not call you back or email you. I have had to call her boss and there is nothing but blame everywhere. We were missing a brick on the front of our house and they tried to cover it up with flashing vs fixing the error, it is now fixed after many months of going back and forth and explaining that this does not look right . I am still waiting on two items to be completed. I wonder who I will have to call for this to be done?
Like I said love our home-hate the after service!!

We are very happy with our new home built in Paris. Everyone throughout the process was friendly and helpful. Right from the start at the sales office to the very end. We have been in our home for 2 months and highly recommend Eastforest and would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a beautiful home with little hassles.

I recently purchased a home from East Forest Homes and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Starting with poor customer service, lack of communication within the company and pouring my foundation wrong are just a few of the many mistakes that took place. The standard selections with this builder are horrible and very unsatisfactory; all the options are not current designs which mean you will upgrade everything. I would highly suggest you look elsewhere to build your dream home.

Worst workmanship ever, i question who build their model homes. No accountability for their the poor work done in the house, I spent a lot on upgrades and almost everything was bad. the items that they agreed to fix from the 30 days TARION's list that workmanship was even worse than before. It feel like they are penalizing me for identifying defects within the house and asking them to fix it.

My advise if you are welling to buy your dream house find another build. I had multiple issues in my place (Huron Village) and the builder didn't fix most of them. After closing date they didn't fix most of the issues I've reported EVERY TIME the use different excuse such as that how it is in the design map or not covered in Tarrion warranty.

At closing date they convinced me that all the issues I noticed will be fixed during 30-days or One year tarrion but only few issues were fixed. On the other side, the site manager was friendly and he tried to help us as much as he can but as I said the customer service was below expectation.

Horrible company to deal with they make lots of promises but in the end fail to do what was promised. Poor communication from office to actual contractors. Even higher ups in this company put all their blame on the contractors and why they cannot make dates but when you speak with the contractors they know nothing on changes and don't agree. Once they get your money they don't care and tarion warranty has changed and is nothing for the new home owners it's more to protect the builders. After i built and started having problems people asked me who i was with and their comments were ooh yeah could have told you not to go with them. Some of these comments wven came from well known contractors and businesses. Highly suggest using another company like citadel they pride on their customer service and actually do what they promise.

Built our dream home with this company. Great energy efficiency. Overall our house is very structurally sound and interior work was done to a good standard. Any issues we had were basically cosmetic and they were more than willing to come out to fix them. Friendly service people and responsive service coordinator replies to email a almost immediately.
Energy star house. Bills for utilities are rather cheap considering the sheer size of our house. Neighbourhood is very clean, nice and great place to raise a family (paris grandville area).
I'm very picky as a customer but really I have no real complaints about these guys. Well done.

Eastforest Homes don't actually build homes, they hire contractors to do that. They quality of the home will be based on the crew building it. I think I was lucky because I had a really good crew. We still had some minor issues they needed resolving and this is where Eastforest fall down. You cant get hold of anyone. I have spoken to the site supervisor, emailed him. Emailed his boss, emailed customer service manager and got zero response back. Like another review here. I agree that once they have your money you won't here from them again. Tarion is the only thing they will respond to. It's frustrating. When I speak to my neighbors they have a similar experience. Most are not talking to the site supervisor and repairing issues themselves.

Couldn't wait to share the excitement with someone.
Moved in recently into our new eastforest home, love the smell of a new house, so happy, Yeay :)
While doing my research on home builders I came across these comments below and realized that they have built a tonne of homes over past 20 years. They must be good at what they do. Turns out they are.
Seriously people!

Having purchased from different builders in the past, I can say that purchasing from Eastforest Homes was the best experience so far.
Our last two homes were build by Eastforest Homes and we are thrilled with the quality and service we had received. It made the other builders look amateurish at best. Kudos to eastforest Homes for a job well done. In other words "I'll be back"...

Purchased an Eastforest home in Paris little over a year. The town house was new when we purchased however we noticed per our per-delivery inspection a cap of the roof falling apart. A year later it once again came apart. Its poor quality of work and Eastforest wont fix it. A roof less than 3 years old shouldn't need to be repaired 2x.

We recently purchased a new condo in an 8 plex. After being in our new home for a few weeks I began to notice all sorts of workmanship issues. We did not notice on our pre-delivery inspection many of the items. It was an overwhelming experience on the walk through. Me being a tradesman I should have caught these issues. Some of our problems include the following:
Cracked ceramic tiles, poor grouting on both the ceramic floor tile as well as in our tub area, wrong grout colour throughout, dried mortar in some of the joints, door hinges and hardware not installed properly, poor quality windows and doors, door is drafty, missled with roughin for water softener,we paid extra for the roughin and all it included was an extra waterline to the kitchen sink, hole in closet wall not covered with access plate for plumbing cleanout, cabinet hardware not tightened properly, cabinet doors not adjusted properly, casings and baseboards not glued at joints so there is gaps at connections and corners in drier times, job supervisor actually used foul language with my wife. The exterior workmanship is terrable as well, they kust used fill for the landscaping, no topsoil, Overall I am totaly dissatisfied with our purchase. We will be moving in a year or so.

Eastforest was quite good as far as picking out options we would like to have in our home. However from the time we were to take possetion right through the last few years they have been no help. We were not able to take possetion on the date indicated by eastforest, not for three weeks after the date actually. We sent in our year end form to indicate our issues with the house. Things like staircases sinking and drywall shifting off the wall. All they fixed was the paint they missed on all the trim they installed. They said to wait untill the house settles before they will fix the rest. Now they wont fix it because they claim no recolection of them stateing this and its past the 2 year. For proof of poor quality email me at jim_lonsbury@hotmail.com and i'll send you pictures.

They cut corners anywhere they can. Eastforest Homes built our home and years later we are finding problems. Problems you wouldn't see in inspection as it's behind walls. Inproper plumping fixtures, gluing tiles to the walls, water supply hook up done incorrectly, and the list go on. DO NOT BUY from this builder.

Dealing with Eastforest up until the house was built was ok. We did have to fight to get them to change some things that they had clearly done differently than agreed.

The bad part was dealing with them afterward. We found holes in the floor, which should have been completely fixed (i.e., the boards removed and replaced) but instead they did a half-assed patch job. But worst of all, during the first year our front step began to deteriorate. When the Eastforest inspector came out he claimed that the damage was caused by salt. Being a new home owner I didn't know any better, but recently (3 years later) the owner of a professional concrete company informed me that there is no way that salt could have caused that amount of damage. I suspect the inspector knew this but was hoping that I would believe him and not push the issue. Now that the warranty has expired, there's not much I can do.

Why is it that only upset customers choose to wire comments. I have purchased through this builder, as well as my parents, and my best friend. We all had a great experience! When buying a new built home you must set your expectations, it is a structure which is built by many hands, it is expected to have little things come up. When you are customizing your home, as this builder allows, you have to be patient, and definitely help by being informed, and understanding. At the end of the day, you will enjoy, as I am, the custom new home you've help to design and decorate.
