Windergarden, Toronto Reviews (1)
This myopic business inexplicably decided to oppose the desperately needed proposed Annette bike path a couple of years ago, leading the charge against a badly needed improvement to the neighbourhood, which would make the streets safer for local residents and especially children. The excuse? Some dubious argument about how the path would affect parking. My wife and I used to be regulars at Windergarden. But we and many of our friends decided it would be better to support businesses who support the community. The bonus? Once we started shopping elsewhere, we realized that Windergarden was ridiculously overpriced. Much better deals on the Internet and places like Rona. Oh, and by the way, the bike path never proposed to eliminate any existing parking spaces. It was his ill-conceived opposition to the same bike path that helped defeat Bill Saundercook in the last municipal election. Now, let's send NIMBY businesses packing as well.
