We returned to this store, after having bought a fantastic dining table over 14 years ago, a table that we continue to love and get compliments about. That table was delivered 2 hours north of the city, in a horrible snowstorm. The delivery people arrived at 10pm, determined to get us our table despite the obstacles. This was exceptional service which went way beyond our expectations.
We recently returned to purchase a custom made upholstered bed, based upon a picture we had seen of what we thought was the bed we wanted. Patrick, in his unassuming way, assisted us in taking what we had in mind and making it even better and more striking. He knew exactly what we wanted. It looks fantastic. Patrick accommodated a quick turnaround when he heard we had visitors from overseas coming. Again, the delivery people are to be commended for their care and courtesy, this time the delivery being in Toronto. We are most impressed by the service we received from Patrick and his employees and his willingness to listen to our wishes and create something which exceeds it. That is rare in the service industry today.

My partner and I stopped in as we have driven past it several times and were intrigued. I can't say much for the service we received. We had to chase people around to get their attention despite having made eye contact with several of the employees working on the floor. We were patient and looked around the showroom. Approximately 30mins into our visit we were approached and asked if we had any questions. We were looking for a sofa and there were 2 that we were interested in. We decided on one and were given a discount as it was the only one left. We had expressed concerns as the buttons on the tufted seat were off center but were reassured that If we wanted it, they would have the cushion serviced to correct it. I asked about the warranty and was told that "they stand by their product", which is apparently sales-speak for NO. They were more than happy to accommodate once we decided to take it.

Since delivery:

1. The cushion was not serviced as we were told it would be.
2. Since we've had the sofa (3 weeks), several of the buttons have just popped off the cushions
3. We have sent several emails to customer service and haven't received a single response
4. We have called several times and were told that we needed to call back in 10 mins to speak to Mark Johnson regarding the issues. Mr. Johnson is apparently never in the office and has not once returned any of our calls.

BEWARE - They will sell you a dud and then cut off communication once they have your money.

GH Johnson has a great variety of contemporary furniture in a large showroom. We bought 2 furniture pieces both on sale and are really happy that we came here. This is one of the best furniture stores I have been too and I will tell all my friends on how well you guys treated us. Thanks.

Excellent customer service! I dealt with Matt! He was very friendly and down to earth, no pushy sales techniques here. He was very knowledgeable, not to mention hilarious! I went during a sale and was very satisfied with pricing and quality. This is a much better experience than my previous furniture buying experience with a big box store. I will be going back to GH Johnson to finish furnishing my condo!!

A real interesting hideout for relatively inexpensive contemporary furniture and décor in Toronto. The owner and staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Delivery was on point and they stand by their products. All in all, a good experience! We will shop here often.

Went there to buy a new couch because my old one was just too small and generally didn't fit the living room decor. I was really impressed with the customer service. The moment I entered the shop a staff member approached me and offered his assistance. After a short consultation with him he showed me 2 models that suited my requirements. I liked them both but I chose one of their main brands as it was available in leather.

Couldn't be happier with the choice I made as my new sofa looks great and is so comfortable.

I have purchased 3 pieces of furniture and some home accessories from GH Johnson over a period of eighteen months. The quality of the furniture is exceptional and the customer service is above and beyond. The owner and his family are friendly and fair. Matt is an exceptional sales professional.

They can't follow through. I ordered bedroom furniture and was told it would take 1-2 weeks. After 14 weeks and almost no communication initiated by them, we received the furniture. I would not recommend G.H. Johnson to anyone.

I'm on my second sofa from them. They have worked with me every time and I have always found many things I liked. They had many great pieces that appeal to my "modern" aesthetic. Compared to furniture from the big guys this place is a breath of fresh air. I feel their quality is better, more comfortable and better looking at GH Johnson. They've even helped me get a customized sofa to fit a smaller space.

I can’t be more pleased as the service here was amazing, especially from the owner. Our sales girl was very nice and helpful, I can’t remember her name but she did a great job, very helpful and knowledgeable. Our stuff looks great, we will be back someday.

Shopping for home furniture can be a chore as there are so many stores. We ended up buying from GH Johnson because I thought their selection was very good and we wanted contemporary furniture that matched the stuff we have now. We were treated fairly on pricing and we picked some custom fabrics that really worked in our home. Everything went off without any trouble, furniture delivered when they said and we are very happy with the fabric. Good store if you live in Toronto.

Outstanding sale on couches that is so good I could afford a really nice sectional. Interesting place as the location doesn’t look like the usual furniture store but once inside they have a big showroom. No TV’s or appliances just furniture from bedroom to dining room all at really good prices. I am telling everyone to check out the sale.

I bought a nice bedroom set from these guys and it is lovely. It’s quite shocking that I got it for a very decent price considering the set looks like they cost a couple of thousand bucks. Great buy for me, great job for GH Johnson! It kinda worked perfectly.

I love the GH Johnson brand. If you need to decorate your home then I recommend this furniture store as it only sell top quality furnitures.

I give GH Johnson the highest rating because the staff are nice and helpful people. They spent as much time as you need and never did I feel rushed. Beautiful furniture sets, beautifully-priced.

Overall it was a great experience in the showroom. There were a few attentive staff to help you make the right decision. They do not rush you compared to other places. I did not feel as if they tried to push a salon on me. I was not sold to. GH Johnson will be the name I refer when someone asks me if I know any furniture store in the Toronto area.

we bought 2 dining tables with chairs ,amazing products, arrived on time
And we are very happy with the service and the quality of the products.
We did also bought a sleep sofa which we knew that it will arrive after 3 months ,
Mr Johnson the owner promised us that if we will need it before he can send us
A substitute sleep sofa for no costs, and he did it,
Everything he promised they did,
All the promises were done.

I've had a credit with GH Jhonson for 1 year as I returned furniture that was oversized - they wouldn't allow me to get my money back. When I went to use my credit - it was heavily discounted (by $400+) by purchases that I had not made. I tried to speak with management and while they told me they would resolve the issue, they never returned my call (s) and when I did finally reach them, after leaving several messages, they refused to assist indicated that they had no proof I did not purchase the items??!!! I am not impressed with their lack of customer service and I will no longer be shopping and/or recommending their store to anyone. Karma always has a way to get back to people and/or businesses who abuse of their power...

Purchased our bedroom furniture here and loved it. The staff was cool and not pushy in any way but they were very helpful. I highly recommend this place for selection, price and the people.

The service was top notch and my sales guy was really personable and fun to deal with. I had been renovating my house and needed to buy some contemporary home furnishings. Prices at GH Johnson were quite good when I compared them to other furniture stores plus the quality of the furniture was higher than I would have expected. I came back in quite a few times as I was trying to decide what to buy and finally bought from here because they are really straightforward on price and the quality I was getting. I recommend buying here if you want good product, service and people.

Really enjoyed shopping here and will do it again. The furniture here is modern and looks high quality. The sales person really knew what they were talking about and helped suggest some great choices for the couch size I wanted. Highly recommended this store and thank them for their help and patience.

The sales guy was very helpful in showing me around and educating me on some of their furniture manufacturers. I bought and highly recommend this really fantastic furniture store at some of the best prices I have seen in Toronto for good quality furniture! So many pieces were on sale that it was fun to shop and decide what I liked best.
