I would strongly recommend against shopping at Dine & Suites. 1125-Kennedy Rd, Unit # 4 Scarborough, ON, Canada. M1P 2K8
I have a number of issues with the purchase I made in June 2016. Let me be clear...I did not pay a discounted price.
(1). I purchased a chest of drawers, a vanity and a double bed. I was given one receipt total for the whole purchase; the items were not individually priced. This should have been the first red flag because if I needed to return any defective item ... I am at Dine & Suites mercy...I don't know what the pieces are worth individually because Dine & Suites has connived to list just one " package price". This means they can up or down a price according to their benefit so they don't have to do an equal exchange .
(2). The chest of drawers was damaged on one side and the workmanship is a consumer's insult. (There are wide gaps between the drawers; totally unacceptable industry standards.)
(3). The bed they delivered was a queen bed that can be converted to a double bed, again such poor workmanship with unsightly gaps that can't be covered. At no time was a queen bed with option to convert to a double bed ever discussed. I specifically ordered a double bed, period.
(4). The second red flag..."Final sale" was in the fine print, and I do mean fine print. Dine and Suites doesn't want you to know that you will be stuck with whatever you bought.
I contacted Dine and Suites about my issues; they are willing to replace the chest of drawers but will not do anything about the double bed, they claim that all their double beds come with the option to convert to queen. Then why didn't they tell me? I didn't ask because I had no intention of buying such a bed. They will not give me a refund.
I have contacted my credit card company; this purchase is considered " in dispute". I have also been in contact with The Better Business Bureau.
I am also looking at my legal options; as a consumer the law entitles me protection from unscrupulous businesses.
I will update this review as to the final resolution. As of now I am stuck with defective furniture and furniture I did not order. However, I am confident Dine &Suites will not get away with their shady business practices
