Here is the story:
I came there with intention to spend around 3K on appliances and TV. My girlfriend wanted to buy furniture for 2K. So in total we were ready to spend 5K (before tax) - not to bad commissions in one day for one salesperson.

The guy on a floor told us that on 28th of April 2016 (see the attached screenshot) The Brick has "amazing VIP PRIVATE sale" and in order to get a good deals he recommends us to pre-register for this event (it's mandatory for participation). So we did. The guy told us to come one day earlier to select items we want to buy because on sale day it will be extremely busy. OK. We promised to show up a day before. After that he called me at work 3 times (It was very annoying considering the fact that I had meetings with upper management), he called to my girlfriend at work 2 or 3 times.

Long story short: we showed up in the store and asked the guy what would be the sale price for the items we choose. Guess what? The "SALE!!!!" prices were the same as regular prices in Costco, Lions, Walmart, Bad Boy, Best Buy.

The moral: Don't go there or if you go there - do your homework otherwise you will be ripped of on significant amount of money and wasted time. These guys try to create impression of "amazing VIP deals" while they sell stuff for the regular price.

P.S. The guy told me: "Buy this TV now ($1499) because later after sale it will go back to original price ($2200)". I didn't mention to him that $1499 it's a regular price in other stores so when they will raise price back to $2200 I will ask them to do the price match between $2200 and $1499.

I ordered a hutch last week and called 3 days ago to arrange the pick up. I asked that the product be wrapped and ready. When I arrived the product was still in the showroom.

The gentleman who's job it was to wrap it placed it upright on a metal grate and I heard scratching sounds. Literally 10 seconds later, the piece of furniture fell over.

I will add that this was from the clearance section ($699 reduced to $250) but was in excellent condition minus one scratch on the leg.

I needed to be somewhere in half an hour so it was agreed with the staff that they would have a replacement ready for me

When I returned an hour and a half later expecting a solution, I was offered a $75 discount. The entire corner of the hutch was damaged so I did not accept their offer. I asked if that was the only solution that had and said that he could refund me. I told them that I had purchased it and they had damaged it and I still wanted that piece of furniture.

The sales manager of that department, Jon, came over and reiterated their offer. Mind you, not one single person apologized for the inconvenience or for the fact that they damaged the furniture.

I asked to speak to the store manager but was told that he was busy closing other deals.

After about 30 minutes, I found the store manager, introduced myself and explained the situation. He immediately became defensive and told me that he was not going to give me a 'new' piece because it would be too big of a loss for the store. I told him that I did not expect a new piece but did expect him to perhaps call other locations to see if they had the piece. He told me that this would be a lot of work.

The guy who sold the the furniture said he would call around to see if they could find another one at a different store and let me know by 6pm tonight. I still haven't heard from them.

Here's my opinion of the Brick. They are eager to get you to buy something. In fact they make many promises and tell you what you want to hear to secure the purchase. During the purchase phase, the staff are super friend and helpful.

When faced with a problem however, everyone gets their backs up against the wall, becomes unapologetic and borderline rude (the sales manager for instance cut me off at least six times when I was talking because he said he had other things to do).

The furniture is nice and of good quality however this company needs to better train their staff in customer service skills, etiquette and problem solving.

I will be writing to their head office explaining my situation and am hopeful to get a better response. In fact, the sales rep who sold me the item told me that is likely get a better response if I complained to head office.

I was appalled at my experience today and as a business owner, I hope that the brick will take my feedback into consideration and improve their service to their customers.

This is the first time I am wring a review to any store. I have to say the customer service at the Brick is extremely bad. I ordered Soaf on Nov 30, 2013, by Feb 10, this item is still not ready. And they told me becuase I only paid deposit so the first time available in the stock already sent to another customer who paid everything. This is radiculous, no one has told me I need to pay full amount to keep my order. And no one has called me about it, I checked on my own and then they are telling me this type of service. This is not fair to a customer...
