Magic Bedroom Inc, Kitchener Reviews (2)
I bought 3 beds from Magic Bedroom.Once one was delayed as he only sells the beds and not his fault if beds do not get in on time. Looking at other bedding stores he was very good on costs on quality beds. I tell many to go there when they need a bed.
This company is the worst company I have EVER dealt with in my life. We like to support family businesses rather than corporations, and this is why we chose magic bedroom. What a mistake that was. We paid in full for our mattress and bed and were treated like an inconvenience to the owner, who was rude and insulting numerous times.
We were told our bed would be two weeks (instead of 1) because of the bed frame purchase, which we were fine with. On the night before the delivery (12 hours before) we were called and told our bed would not be coming. When we asked why, we were told our bed was on back order but our mattress was there. My fiancé asked why we were finding this out the day before our delivery and the owner was insulting and rude saying that my fiancé "must be young because this happens all the time".
After a very lengthy argument we find out the truth was that our bed was not back ordered but the owner actually ordered the wrong size and he was "already spending $75 to send it back". He finally agreed to deliver our mattress the next day but offered no apology at this point in time.
We had the elevator booked in our condo building the next day from 12-3 when our delivery was suppose to be coming. I ended up calling the company at 2:45pm asking where our delivery was. The woman who answered was very rude as well, and told me there was "no possible way she can contact the delivery guys who are doing a delivery out of town". Keep in mind we are 5 minutes down the street from this company and were only getting half our order.
I informed the very rude woman that we have an elevator booked only for 15 more minutes, she ensured me she would see if she could get in contact with them and would call me back. 10 minutes go buy with no reply, so we go for lunch as we have been waiting in our condo all morning. As soon as we order I get a phone call from the DELIVERY men telling me they are 2 minutes away. Luckily the management of our building were not around to see them use the un booked elevator.
I call the company on Monday to ask when the rest of our $2000 paid in full order will be in so I can book the elevator. The answer I received was "I have no idea". When I implored further the man on the other end of the phone spat at me "well it will be in at the end of the week I think, but I won’t know until the truck pulls up". I remind him I need to book the elevator so I need at least a days notice.
Friday of that week comes around and I receive a voice mail telling me our bed is in. I call them back around 3:30pm as I had been in the laboratory all day and the same man rudely tells me he'll call me back and I remind him that I will need to book the elevator and will not be home for half an hour.
As soon as I take my coat after arriving home I get a knock on the door. It's the delivery men with my bed, who I could hear swearing about my order as they brought it down the hallway. I'm at this point hoping my super had not run into them on the way up.
I take my dog out for a walk and am met by the manager of my building on the way back in who lectures me regarding how rude the delivery men of my order were and the super had called him to talk to them because they had begun swearing at her.
Needless to say, these people do not deserve to be in business if this is how they treat their customers. We have not received an apology or even an acknowledgement of how we have been treated after we have complained numerous times.
