Mason Richards Florist

If I could give zero stars I would, however I will have to GENEROUSLY give half a star. I called this shop today and got an angry, nasty, and very curt man who verified it was a florist shop in Ottawa and asked me what I wanted. I simply asked to place an order for Christmas - a centerpiece - for local delivery to Nepean. Today's date is Dec. 20th 2011 so therefore plenty of time. I also called at 4:15pm to make sure I did not interfere during the busiest time of the day.
Well, as I said, I got a nasty man on the phone who from the second he answered was completely unprofessional and when I asked to order something I saw on the company website, he instantly cut me off and starting complaining about the fact I was referencing to floral arrangement images of THEIR OWN WEBSITE (not Teleflora or 1800Flowers sites), but Mason Richards very own website! He nastily went on saying it was impossible to match what they have listed on their OWN site. I said "well, okay can we talk about building something similar to a photo", and he abruptly said "ABSOLUTELY NOT, WE DON"T HAVE TIME FOR THIS, WE ARE VERY BUSY, YOU'LL HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE", and proceeded to hang up on me. His demeanor and behavior was nothing short of appalling. WORD OF WARNING. During his nasty "how dare you expect us to build something we listed on OUR website” rant, he managed to let it slip that even though they have a Teleflora emblem on their website, they have "beef" with them because Teleflora advertises things Mason Richards Florist cannot do/nor have the product for....UM, then why are they partnered and advertising they CAN DO IT???? It sounds like the old bait and switch to me and for considering the amount this florist shop charges for its arrangements, it's actually downright shameful. AVOID AVOID AVOID! There are plenty of Floral Shops in Nepean/Ottawa…absolutely no reason to give your business and hard earned money to such a horrible place.
