On Wednesday, July 15, 2020 through the recommendation of someone that lives in Airdrie I ordered flowers from Summerhill Florist limited for my daughter’s birthday (She lives in Airdrie)

A little note here… I order flowers regularly for my home in Ontario as well as order flowers for Out-of-town family and friends and have never been disappointed.

I personally called Summerhill Florist Limited to place my order, my only request was no carnations and I informed her I was leaving it to her design (I already viewed her website and Facebook and was happy with what I saw ....Please note I always order my flowers this way) we decided on a price and it came to $115.50. The sales person said they would send me a photo of the arrangement.

Photo 1 is the original photo she sent me.... I was shocked that was not $115.50 arrangement. I called the florist and explain I was not happy with the arrangement… I got the excuse that flowers are far more expensive in Alberta than they are in Ontario or BC. She said that she would at her cost add more flowers and as you can see from Photo 2 all she added was two Stems of daisies .... still not worth $115.50, please check out her web page and view the price of other arrangement and you will understand why I am very upset.

My poor daughter received this arrangement and after we talked she was shocked how much I paid for that arrangement (I was embarrassed and asked her if flowers were expensive in Alberta and that I would resend another nicer arrangement) she reassured me that I was ripped off and not to worry .... she uses another florist in town and got this incredible gorgeous arrangement that included roses all high-end flowers from her husband and he informed me he only paid $80.00

I contacted my regular florist and sent her the photos, she was absolutely shocked to the point she even called some of her florist friends in Calgary to confirm if prices were indeed higher and was this arrangement worth $115.00 and they said way way over priced And what was the florist thinking.

This is my experience with Summerhill Florist Ltd .... Please tread carefully before ordering

Ordered Valentines Day Flowers for my wife online in the morning at work. My wife got called at 1:45pm and the person on the phone said they're calling from Summerhill Florist and just wanted to make sure she was going to be home so they could deliver flowers to her. Are you kidding me? I found out when my wife texted me as the surprise was now ruined and I called the store. What a waste of time, the 16-18 year old I spoke to had no idea what to do and just giggled and said "sorry but the flowers area already made so I can't do anything". I hung up and figured my wife would be happy regardless when she got the flowers. I was driving home at 4:30pm that same day and she had not received anything. I called the store and they said the flowers went out at 4:00pm and would be delivered soon - why did they call at 1:45pm then? I asked to speak to the Manager and she passed me to her. I have never been treated so horribly over the phone before. She told me she had been in the business for 15 years and nobody orders online if it's a surprise. She also said that in her 15 years their have only been about 10 people ask them not to call ahead because it was a surprise. This place is a disaster, I won't get into all the details but be warned, they will ruin your surprise and they will treat you like an idiot when you call with some constructive feedback, don't think they'll take accountability or offer a discount on your next order - no worries though, I'll never use them again and if you're going to - make sure it's not a surprise. Oh yeah, the flowers in the pictures are 3 times the size of the ones you get at your door - but that's a whole other rant.

Summerhill Florist is now under new ownership. As of May 1, 2010 Colette Storms is the Owner/Head Designer. You will be please to find that the service has improved tremendously, and the quality of the product is well worth the price.

I phoned in an order for my sister-in-law's grad. I had worked in my hometown flower shop in high school, so picked out something cool, asked for a fuschia dendrobium orchid in a small vase, delivered to her (she lives a block away, but it was grad and the whole family was busy). Paid for all in advance, with credit card, over the phone. What she received was a purple rose, wrapped in paper (no vase) and they called her to come and pick it up. So all they got right was WHO at the house it was for.
