I try to explain to the patient their diagnosis and treatment options so that they can make a decision that is right for them. Many patients do not need surgery and can recover with therapy or other treatments. However, if surgery is necessary I want my patients to completely understand the surgical procedure and, importantly, what they will need to do post surgery to recover fully.
