Dr. Seung H. Yu was born in Seoul, South Korea and has lived in Pacific Northwest most of his life. He attended the University of Washington to earn Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. He then completed residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Washington to gain wide scope of surgical skills while working at Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Medical Center, VA Medical Center, Swedish Medical Center, Northwest Medical Center, Futures Head and Neck Surgical Associates, Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and Providence Medical Center. After completing residency, he joined Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota as chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He joined Eastside Oral Surgery Associates in October, 2015. Dr. Yu is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and an affiliate faculty at the University of Washington. He maintains hospital privileges at Overlake Medical Center, Valley Medical Center, Swedish Medical Center, Northwest Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center and University of Washington Medical Center. Dr. Yu’s clinical interests include dental implants, reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery and outpatient anesthesia. He and his wife Jinhee enjoy traveling, reading good books and spending time with family and friends.
